CSK were clear favourites against Central Districts, with the team like theirs it’s hard to believe otherwise. Dhoni won the toss and chose to bat but CSK lost 3 quick wickets to be in deep waters at 42/3 in 9 overs with a COW of 42%. But a wonderful fifty by Badrinath along with a blistering 42 by Anirudh and a quick cameo by Morkel took them to 152/4 with a COW of 52%. Stags lost the plot right from start as CSK bowlers chipped away at regular intervals. None of their batsmen applied themselves as they slipped to 43/5 in 10 overs with a COW of 29% before Blackwell showed some resistance. That was, however, futile as the Stags were bowled out for just 94 runs to give CSk a well deserved victory.
