cow-analysis

Once again it was the case of both teams needing to win and CSK needing to win big to go to next round. Batting first NSW got off to an absolute flyer as Warner and Watson raised a fifty stand in no time. Though Watto fell soon, Warner and Smith kept the momentum going as they raced away to 73/1 after 10 with 46% COW. At this point Warner took charge and absolutely pummeled the CSK attack as he smashed 135* off just 69 balls as NSW ran up a mammoth 201/2 with 62% COW. CSK needed to chase this down in just 17 overs so the task became even harder for them. Despite losing wickets CSK kept finding boundaries as they reached 88/3 after 10 with 64% COW. But the fall of Raina and MSD in successive overs sent their RR tumbling and along with it their COW as it crashed to 40%. It was too tall an ask for the CSK middle order and forget about qualifying they lost the match too as they were bowled out for 155 in 18.5 overs.
