Match 10, Group B : Kolkata vs Bangalore (Winner: KKR)

Kolkata Knight Riders won by 9 wickets with 15 balls remaining (Dominance : KKR 84% | RCB 11% | Equal 5%)

   Match Scorecard
Man of the Match: J Kallis M Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bangalore (29 September 2011)

As expected Gayle teed off from start hitting huge sixes but Lee cleaned him up and followed up with Kohli’s wicket for a duck as RB reached 34/2 after 5 with 49% COW. RCB spinners then put a tight leash on the proceedings as RCB struggled to reach 94/6 after 14 with 29% COW. However Vettori and Bhatkal launched a scathing counter attack as RCB ended with 169/9 with 53% COW. Vettori must have backed him bowlers to make a fight of it but Haddin had other plans. Haddin went on a rampage at start tearing apart the RCB attack and by the time he got our KKR was 64/1 after 8 with 70% COW. Gambhir joined Kallis but as RCB’s luck would have it he rediscovered his form and together with Kallis put up a century stand as they both hammered fifties and KKR won by 9 wickets with 17 balls to spare.
