India got off to a quick start with Rahane proving why he is so highly rated. Parthiv fell but even Dravid’s scratchy start didn’t matter as India raced away to 79/1 after 10 overs with 52% COW. In the next over Dravid smashed 3 sixes but fell soon afterwards triggering a collapse as India stuttered to 117/5 after 14 overs with 54% COW. Raina smacked a few around but the collapse continued as India was bundled out for 165 in 19.4 overs. PK continued his dream tour with an early wicket but Kieswetter and KP made most of wayward bowling and sloppy fielding to score rapidly before both fell with England at 64/3 after 8 overs with 69% COW. Morgan then nullified Rahane’s fifty with a super quick 49 off his own but Bopara and Samit’s scratchy partnership kept India in hunt till the very last over before Samit managed to hit 3 fours to seal the match with 3 balls to spare.
