  Match Scorecard
Man of the Match: L Malinga R Premadasa Stadium, Colombo (22 August 2011)

Australia’s opening woes continued when Marsh fell for 2 before Watson and Ponting put together a partnership. Ponting especially looked in great touch before he fell as Australia reached 71/2 after 14 with 50% COW. Watson fell soon after his fifty and Clarke 3 short of his before, barring Dussey’s 46, Australia spectacularly imploded as Malinga took a hat trick and were bowled out for 211 in 46.1 with 42% COW. Sri Lanka was rocked at start as they stumbled to 43/3 in 7 overs with 61% COW before Mahela and Silva put together a century stand. They both notched up fifties before Silva fell with SL at 144/4 in 27 overs with 92% COW. Mahela continued in company of Mathews post a rain break but both fell as target was within reach as SL won by 4 wickets with 3 overs to spare.
