Taylor continued his horrible form with yet another single digit score and Sibanda failed ot capitalize on his start as Zimbabwe reached 40/2 after 14 with 46% COW. Masakadza continued his good run and Taibu finally went on to play a long innings as Zimbabwe recovered to 177/2 after 41 with 58% COW. 73 runs came off the last 9 overs with Masakadza and Taibu scoring fifties as Zimbabwe ended at 250/7 with 63% COW. Bangladesh started well as they reached 50/0 after 10 with 39% COW. But both Imrul and Junaid failed to convert their starts and when Tamim fell short of a fifty they were in trouble at 93/3 after 25 with 29% COW. Mushfiqur first steadied the ship with Shakib and then launched the charge with Hom as Bangladesh reached 185/4 after 42 with 32% COW. However some stupid running and needless shots meant that despite Mushfiqur’s century Bangladesh were bowled out for 245 in 49.2 to lose by 5 runs. |
