It was the battle of the newcomers. Thomas and Parnell ripped through KTK to reduce them to 24/4 after 5 with COW of 51%. That’s when Hodge and Jadeja came together and put together a partbnership that took them to 111/4 after 15 with 51% COW before Hodge got out. Jadeja followed soon but some late hitting by Gomez saw them end with 148/2, their COW at 49%. SPW got off to a flier and though Ryder fell they reached 51/1 after 7 with 59% COW. But wickets kept falling at regular intervals to give KTK some hope till Uthappa and Mishra blazed away to victory in 18.5 overs. |
