10th T20: Pune vs Kochi (Winner: Pune)

Pune won by 4 wickets with 7 balls remaining (Dominance : Kochi 8% | Pune 92%)

It was the battle of the newcomers. Thomas and Parnell ripped through KTK to reduce them to 24/4 after 5 with COW of 51%. That’s when Hodge and Jadeja came together and put together a partbnership that took them to 111/4 after 15 with 51% COW before Hodge got out. Jadeja followed soon but some late hitting by Gomez saw them end with 148/2, their COW at 49%. SPW got off to a flier and though Ryder fell they reached 51/1 after 7 with 59% COW. But wickets kept falling at regular intervals to give KTK some hope till Uthappa and Mishra blazed away to victory in 18.5 overs.

  1st Innings (Kochi) - 20 overs Maximum  
arrow 5 overs: Kochi 24/4 Kochi 41% Kochi got off to a horrible start and
      with the top order gone, they looked like an elephant without tusks .Kochi’s chances decreased by 8% during this period.
arrow 10 overs: Kochi 65/4 Kochi 45% The 5th wicket partnership was saving
      Kochi but they still had a long way to go.Kochi’s chances increased by 4% during this period.
arrow 15 overs: Kochi 111/4 Kochi 51% Hodge and Jadeja were now turning it on,
      giving Kochi a nice juicy glimmer of hope. Kochi’s chances increased by 6% during this period.
arrow 20 overs: Kochi 148/8 Kochi 49% Kochi lost a wicket too many and
      could not quite make use of the death overs. Kochi’s chances decreased by 2% during this period.
  2nd Innings (Pune: Target 149) - 20 overs Maximum  
arrow 5 overs: Pune 37/1 Pune 55% Pune lost on an early wicket but as
      far as runs were concerned Pune were on-track .Pune’s chances increased by 4% during this period.
arrow 10 overs: Pune 61/3 Pune 52% Pune went off the boil a bit and
      consequently made things harder for themselves but they did have batting left in the tank .Pune’s chances decreased by 3% during this period.
arrow 15 overs: Pune 115/5 Pune 56% Uthappa came and went but while he
      was there, he hit and that kept Kochi nicely poised .Pune’s chances increased by 4% during this period.
arrow 18.3 overs: Pune 151/6 Pune 100% Mohnish Mishra’s calm head finished
      the game for Pune as they won the battle of the new teams. Pune won by 4 wickets.
