   Match Scorecard
Man of the Match : AB de Villiers Nehru Stadium, Kochi (9 April 2011)

This being KTK’s first match there was an element of surprise and some surprise it was! Baz started off quickly and VVS even quicker! What a sight it was to see VVS smash sixes and when he did get out KTK were 80/1 after 9 with 54% COW. After losing momentum while Jayawardene struggled for 18 KTK ended well as Baz scored 45, Hodge 27 and Jadeja 23* to take them to 161/5 with 56% COW. Dilshan fell for one but Kohli and Agarwal flayed the attack and by the time they both were out RCB were 85/3 after 10 with 45% COW. AB and Tiwary couldn’t quite catch the required run rate and RCB’s COW plummeted to 40% as they reached 129/3 after 17 needing 32 runs in next 3 overs. But debutant Gomez’s debut turned from bad to worse as he followed his golden duck with a 20 run over that pretty much sealed the fate as AB scored a brilliant fifty to take RCB home in 18.4 overs.
