cow-analysis

Zaheer Khan picked up 2 wickets in 2 overs and Ireland suddenly didn’t look like the team that beat England. Porterfield and Niall took them to 120/2 after 26 with COW of 42% before 3 quick wickets saw them totter to 165/6 with COW of 36% and eventually crash to 207/10 with COW of 31% and Yuvraj picked 5/31. Sehwag departed early and Gambhir followed him soon after but Sachin and Kohli stablised the innings. However Sachin was out LBW to Dockrell and Kohli run out as India stuttered to 102/4 after 24 with COW of 71%. Dhoni and Yuvraj batted sensibly and took India closer to victory and once Dhoni fell to Dockrell too it was mere formality that Yusuf Pathan finished off in a flurry.

cow-key
  1st Innings (Ireland) - 50 overs Maximum

arrow 3 overs: IRE 11/2 IND 58% Ireland would not have played in front
of such a large crowd before and like a deer caught in headlights lost 2 wickets in Zaheer Khan’s opening burst. Ireland’s chances decreased by 4% during this period.
arrow 26 overs: IRE 120/2 IND 58% Ireland got a good partnership going,
although it was not aggressive they gave chawla some stick. Ireland’s chances did not change during this period.
arrow 34 overs: IRE 147/5 IND 63% Ireland lost a few wickets and sadly
the chief wicket of Kevin O’Brien was also gone. Ireland’s chances decreased by 5% during this period.
arrow 47.5 overs: IRE 207 IND 69% Ireland lost their last 5 wickets for
just 60 runs in under 14 overs as they collapsed to 207 all out. Ireland’s chances decreased by 6% during this period.

  2nd Innings (IND: Target 208) - 50 overs Maximum

arrow 6 overs: IND 24/2 IND 68% A chase like this was going to be
tricky regardless of the score and opposition and India found that out when both Sehwag and Gambhir got out for single digits. India’s chances decreased by 1% during this period.
arrow 24 overs: IND 102/4 IND 71% India continued decently despite Ireland
being terrific in the field, however 2 wickets put the pressure back on India. India’s chances increased by 3% during this period.
arrow 41 overs: IND 183/5 IND 88% India lost MS Dhoni as tricky stage
but Yusuf Pathan blitzed poor Dockrell into conceding 16 off 5 balls turning it into a cakewalk. India’s chances increased by 17% during this period.
arrow 46 overs: IND 210/5 IND 100% Ireland might have performed credibly
here but it was India that walked over the finish line. India win by 5 wickets.
