My love for the wonderful game of Cricket started at a young age of around 7-8.Ever since I have been addicted to it,whether watching different forms of the game or playing them.At the age of 10-11,I used to dream of playing for the nation, just like thousands of kids in India do.After playing for school level and academy level cricket,I realized that I probably wasn't good enough to reach the top. However,it did not effect my love for the game and I kept following it.I still remember watching the India-Australia Test series in 2001 with my father who is himself,a cricket lover.I guess,he passed the craze onto me.
Even though I stopped taking coaching after the realization,I still play friendly matches with friends and made it to my college team in the first year itself.I started following the game properly in 2001,but it wasn't until 2006-07 that I started analysing various aspects of the game. That was the time I started to really put my head into the game and it became even more interesting to me.
I am just 18 years old and having missed out on cricketing action before this decade,I don't like to comment on players of earlier eras. From players of this decade,my cricketing god is Rahul Dravid.I have huge amount of respect for him and just love watching his fighting knocks over and over again.
Also,I am not a fan of T20 format of the game, rather,a lover of Test Cricket, which I firmly believe to be the best form. One more thing I enjoy is a good conversation or chat about cricket,so please let me know what ever you think about my articles.I also blog at Freehit(http://freehit-cricketanalysis.blogspot.com/).
