Ray Robinson was perhaps the best Australian cricketer and writer of his time. His first book- Between Wickets- was a major success and made Robinson famous all over the cricketing world. It was first published in 1946 and was reprinted five times in the next three years.
Years later, Robinson said, "You know, Between Wickets was good to me. It enabled me to buy our house at Northbridge."
