Money can buy it

Bob Parish was manager of the Australian side in England in 1968.

Rather ironically, he was chairman of the Australian Cricket Board in both World Series Cricket seasons.

In 1968, whenever the Australian team bus went through the English countryside, Bob looked out of the window and said, "Truly wonderful. Money can't buy this."

In the first W.S.C. season, the Australian team met for the first time at the Melbourne airport and travelled by bus to their hotel in the city.

They had travelled barely a mile when Doug Walters surveyed the Australian countryside through the window and said, "Truly wonderful, Bob. But money can buy it."
