 Bowling first innings

Harbhajan and Zaheer Khan emerge as India's in-form bowlers going by their recent away games. Harbhajan is almost certainly unlikely to play, but Zaheer Khan's consistency will come as a welcome sign for the Indian attack on Australian pitches, although most indications are that Melbourne is going to be a belter.

The Australian bowlers look to be in good form and amongst the wickets. Lee leads the pack, and in the form that he is in, will be a threat to the Indians, especially in Perth. Clarke is as consistent, never picking less than 2 wickets in the first innings of the last five home games he has played.

Bowling  second innings

The second innings bowling performances of both teams gives a clearer indication of the kind of form Brett Lee is in, with 3 four wicket hauls in the last five innings at home. The Indian bowling is a bit here and there, and they will need something better than all that they have been producing over the past few matches.
