Average frequency of 50+ scores for each batsman
Frequency of 50+ scores It looks like Lara was a little less affected by where the match was being played than Tendulkar is. The southpaw managed a 50 + innings nearly every three innings irrespective of whether he was playing at Home, away or at a neutral venue. Sachin's figures suffer when he is playing abroad, where he goes from scoring a 50 every third innings to scoring one every 5th innings. The telling difference, however, comes when we see the impact the reduction in each of their 50 scoring frequencies has on the team's performance. In games which West Indies have lost, Lara’s frequency dips substantially to once every 6 games, whereas Sachin scores a 50 once every 4 games that India lose. So clearly, Lara's failure to score had a deeper impact on the West Indian team's performance than Sachin's does on the Indian team's performance.
