Due to some technical problems, we are unable to cover live matches on our site and app. We are working on it and will be back soon. Please stay tuned for more.

The players are out there.. Action to start a couple of minutes from now. One slip for Bhuvi

There was a bit of swing early on with the moisture present, but Warner's approach suggested no caution. After belting RP Singh over covers for a biggie, he got a tad overambitious and nicked behind. Dhawan carried forward his good form but couldn't convert it into a big score. Williamson struggled for the most part. Yuvraj had his moments but just when he looked like exploding, he imploded. All these wickets meant that HYD could never really LAUNCH. Huge props to Zampa for his six-fer, while Ashwin played a supporting role. At the end of it all, HYD have put 137 on the board and with the ball turning as it is, you never know. It may well be enough. Join us in 10 minutes for the chase...

"There was a bit of dampness in the wicket. It was tacky. Zampa bowled very well. It's important to have one person taking wickets if the other doesn't. Also important that a spinner got the 20th over, I think there's a point to prove there. We saw how the wicket is, you need to labour hard for your runs. Hopefully if we get a good start in the first 6, we can capitalize," beams out R Ashwin.

Bhuvneshwar 1(2) Barinder 1(1) Zampa 4-0-19-6

19.6 - Zampa to Bhuvneshwar, out Caught by S Tiwary!! Now he gets the sixth! Bhuvneshwar tries to slog, has to fetch it from well wide of off, and slices it off the toe-end to long-on. Superb spell from the young Aussie. Bhuvneshwar c S Tiwary b Zampa 1(2)

Zampa to Bhuvneshwar, THAT'S OUT!! Caught!!

19.5 - Zampa to Barinder, 1 run, nearly a sixth for Zampa. Fools Barinder with a wrong 'un and he slices it off the outside edge in front of a diving Perera at short third man

Barinder Sran, left handed bat, comes to the crease

19.4 - Zampa to N Ojha, out Bowled!! Zampa has five! What a magnificent spell of bowling. And you can see that he has revelled in Dhoni's confidence in him. Slips in a flipper to follow Ojha as he backs away, denies him any sort of room on the cut and he chops it onto pad off an underedge before rolling onto the stumps. N Ojha b Zampa 7(5) [4s-1]

Zampa to N Ojha, THAT'S OUT!! Bowled!!

19.3 - Zampa to Bhuvneshwar, 1 run, does the smart thing of clipping it for a single and handing it to the batter out there

Bhuvneshwar Kumar, right handed bat, comes to the crease

19.2 - Zampa to Deepak Hooda, out Stumped!! Not this time. Zampa has his revenge straightaway. Hooda tries to replicate the previous ball but this one is bowled wider and shorter. Then gets it to turn past the outside edge and crocodile-glove Dhoni does the rest. Deepak Hooda st Dhoni b Zampa 14(5) [6s-2]

Zampa to Deepak Hooda, THAT'S OUT!! Stumped!!

19.1 - Zampa to Deepak Hooda, SIX, but this time he himself has been delivered over wide long-on. Good use of the feet from Hooda to get to the pitch and then nails the blow

Dhoni is gambling with Zampa for the final over. The last time he gambled with the leggie, he delivered.

N Ojha 7(4) Deepak Hooda 8(3) Dinda 4-0-26-0

18.6 - Dinda to N Ojha, 2 runs, decent enough. Couldn't quite hit the blockhole but it's a very low full toss. Hard for the batsman to get under it. Ojha tries and toe-ends the loft wide of long-on for a couple

18.5 - Dinda to Deepak Hooda, 1 run, nails the yorker this time and Hooda is kept down to a squeeze into the on-side

18.4 - Dinda to Deepak Hooda, SIX, that's colossal! A 90-metre strike from Deepak Hooda. Sets himself for the low full toss by standing deep in the crease and slugs it hard over deep mid-wicket

18.3 - Dinda to N Ojha, 1 run, inswinging full toss which is swatted down to long-on. Ojha went hard at it but the bat turned in his hands

18.2 - Dinda to N Ojha, FOUR, attempts the yorker, gets a hint of reverse but misdirects it down leg. Ojha simply tickles it on its way past short fine leg

18.1 - Dinda to Deepak Hooda, 1 run, fullish and tailing in on the stumps, glanced towards short fine leg

Ashok Dinda [3.0-0-11-0] is back into the attack

It will be Dinda with the penultimate over. That previous Zampa over has really hurt HYD.

17.6 - Zampa to N Ojha, no run, tossed up slower on the stumps, defended

Naman Ojha, right handed bat, comes to the crease

17.5 - Zampa to Henriques, out Caught by R Bhatia!! Gone again! Two in two for the leggie. Timely breakthroughs these for Pune and now there will be two new batsmen at the crease for the final two overs. Henriques runs down the pitch, can't get close enough to the ball but has no option but to go through. There is just a little bit of turn which is enough to foil the loft and he slices it down long-off's throat. Henriques c R Bhatia b Zampa 10(8) [4s-1]

Zampa to Henriques, THAT'S OUT!! Caught!!

Deepak Hooda, right handed bat, comes to the crease

17.4 - Zampa to Williamson, out Caught by R Bhatia!! If he had left this one, it would have been a wide. But given the scarcity of overs left, Williamson felt compelled to reach out. Fired well wide of off, Williamson stretches out to club it hard so much so that the bottom hand comes off the handle. Fails to generate any power and holes out at long-off. Williamson c R Bhatia b Zampa 32(37) [4s-3]

Zampa to Williamson, THAT'S OUT!! Caught!!

17.3 - Zampa to Henriques, 1 run, flatter on the stumps, Henriques punches it hard straight back at Zampa who can't nose it back onto the stumps to effect a run-out. Fumbles it rather and concedes the single

17.2 - Zampa to Williamson, 1 run, flicked in the air towards deep mid-wicket, drops well in front of the man

17.1 - Zampa to Henriques, 1 run, comes down the track and whacks it down to long-on

Over: 17 0 1 2 4 1 4 HYD 111/3
Williamson 31(35) Henriques 8(5) T Perera 2-0-26-0

16.6 - T Perera to Williamson, FOUR, shuffles a bit to a ball angled in on a short of length and whips it behind square. Lovely wristwork. Useful over this. 12 off it

16.5 - T Perera to Henriques, 1 run, short of length delivery around the rib-cage, tucked through mid-wicket

16.4 - T Perera to Henriques, FOUR, uff, that ball is emitting smoke on the way to the fence. Just a tad full outside off and it's been blasted through the covers with a scorching drive

16.3 - T Perera to Henriques, 2 runs, clips this through mid-wicket, and hurtles back for two. Big boundaries these, and that means that the fielders have a lot of ground to cover

16.2 - T Perera to Williamson, 1 run, slower leg-cutter, hit off the splice of the bat to long-on

16.1 - T Perera to Williamson, no run, runs at Perera who cleverly shortens the length and fizzes past the outside edge of Williamson as he tries to belt a drive on the up

4 overs left. How much is enough here? Yes, the pitch looks two paced and there's a lot of turn. But will HYD feel comfortable with anything under 145-150?

Henriques 1(2) Williamson 26(32) Zampa 2-0-8-1

15.6 - Zampa to Henriques, no run, flatter on the stumps, Henriques looks to swat it away hard and only ends up getting an underedge onto pad

15.5 - Zampa to Williamson, 1 run, driven with the turn through the covers

15.4 - Zampa to Henriques, 1 run, dances down the track, gets close enough to the pitch and slaps it down to long-off

15.3 - Zampa to Williamson, 1 run, works this leg-break down to long-on

Moises Henriques, right handed bat, comes to the crease

15.2 - Zampa to Yuvraj, out Caught by S Tiwary!! And Dhoni's punt has paid off. Well done Zampa. He slips in the googly anticipating Yuvraj to go after him. The southpaw doesn't disappoint as he hurls down the track to butcher it away but doesn't pick the wrong 'un. Goes against the turn and slices it to long-off. Excellent timing of this dismissal as far as Pune are concerned. A Time-out has been called for in the meanwhile. Yuvraj c S Tiwary b Zampa 23(21) [4s-1 6s-2]

Zampa to Yuvraj, THAT'S OUT!! Caught!!

Brave call this to throw the leggie in front of a rampaging Yuvraj..

15.1 - Zampa to Yuvraj, no run, darts it flatter and gets it to slide across off from a shortish length. Yuvi is playing for some turn as he looks to punch it hard through the covers and misses

Adam Zampa [1.0-0-5-0] is back into the attack

Over: 15 1 6 4 1 1 1 HYD 96/2
Yuvraj 23(19) Williamson 24(30) T Perera 1-0-14-0

14.6 - T Perera to Yuvraj, 1 run, pitched right up and driven to mid-off for a single

14.5 - T Perera to Williamson, 1 run, Perera is going up in appeal but he should be counting himself lucky that the umpire didn't rule it a no-ball for height. The Lankan all-rounder tries a dipping full toss, only that it doesn't dip enough. Williamson is beaten for pace as he tries to slog and gets it off the bottom edge onto pad. Marginal call for a no-ball

14.4 - T Perera to Yuvraj, 1 run, near yorker on the toes, flicked behind square

14.3 - T Perera to Yuvraj, FOUR, oh this is ominous! Pune, be afraid. Be very afraid. He's now taking liberties. The previous match signalled his arrival back to form, and today he is taking over from where he left against Mumbai. Walks across off to get inside the line of a short ball and helps it around the corner with a delicate pull to beat fine leg

14.2 - T Perera to Yuvraj, SIX, just sit back and behold the majesty of this stroke! Two consecutive sixes for Yuvraj now. Perera bowls it short without any pace or height, and is hammered over deep mid-wicket with a furious pull

14.1 - T Perera to Williamson, 1 run, short of length delivery angled into the body, glanced down to fine leg

Thisara Perera, right-arm medium, comes into the attack

Yuvraj 11(15) Williamson 22(28) R Bhatia 3-0-26-0

13.6 - R Bhatia to Yuvraj, SIX, oh look at that batswing. My colleague Raju (a Yuvi die-hard) is salivating. Fullish off-cutter on middle, Yuvraj hauls his front leg out of the way, does a little flamingo flick and wallops it over wide long-on

13.5 - R Bhatia to Williamson, 1 run, clears the front leg and drives it down to long-off

13.4 - R Bhatia to Williamson, no run, gets cramped for room after shuffling to leg as Bhatia follows him. Has no other option but to defend

13.3 - R Bhatia to Williamson, FOUR, deft from Williamson. He's had a miserable time out there so far but the crucial thing is that he hasn't thrown it away. Walks across off, crouches low and then paddles a leg-cutter past short fine leg

13.2 - R Bhatia to Yuvraj, 1 run, fullish on the stumps, Yuvraj goes very hard on the drive and swats it off the inside half through mid-wicket

13.1 - R Bhatia to Yuvraj, no run, Bhatia runs his fingers across the side of the ball and gets this one to kick off the pitch to surprise Yuvi. He does well though to loosen his grip and keep it down

Williamson 17(25) Yuvraj 4(12) Ashwin 4-0-16-1

12.6 - Ashwin to Williamson, no run, big lunge forward from Williamson as he smothers the flight and blocks

12.5 - Ashwin to Yuvraj, 1 run, sees Ashwin drifting this one down leg, and immediately sits on his back knee to hit the sweep to deep backward square

12.4 - Ashwin to Yuvraj, no run, pushed back to the bowler. This one was a little too full to cause harm

12.3 - Ashwin to Yuvraj, no run, pats it with the turn beside the pitch

12.2 - Ashwin to Yuvraj, no run, this one slides on with the angle, and what Yuvi is doing well is that he is playing for the straight ball. After all, those are the ones which do the damage. Blocks it nicely

12.1 - Ashwin to Yuvraj, no run, my gosh! This pitch is a snake's pit. It's turned square, has this one. Looped up on off and rips away from Yuvraj's forward defence to beat the edge

11.6 - R Bhatia to Yuvraj, 1 run, now he firmly punches an off-cutter into the turf and over Williamson's head down to long-off

11.5 - R Bhatia to Williamson, 1 run, Williamson stands upright to a short of length delivery and punches it down to long-on

11.4 - R Bhatia to Yuvraj, 1 run, back of a length on the pads, tucked through mid-wicket

11.3 - R Bhatia to Yuvraj, no run, another dot. Can't pierce the off-side ring once more

11.2 - R Bhatia to Yuvraj, no run, waits in the crease and pats it with an open bat-face to cover-point

11.1 - R Bhatia to Yuvraj, no run, off-cutter on a length outside off, softly punched to cover

Yuvraj 1(2) Williamson 16(23) Ashwin 3-0-15-1

10.6 - Ashwin to Yuvraj, 1 run, more assured with this one as he pushes it down to long-off

10.5 - Ashwin to Yuvraj, no run, slightly quicker from round the wicket, skids on from a length towards middle. Yuvraj is tentatively forward in defence

Two slips in place for Yuvi..

10.4 - Ashwin to Williamson, 1 run, nudged off the pads through mid-wicket

10.3 - Ashwin to Williamson, no run, lots and lots of turn. Ashwin drifts it across off on a length, tempts Williamson to use the angle and dab it into the off-side but the ball grips back in and catches a thick inside edge. Lucky not to chop it back on

Yuvraj Singh, left handed bat, comes to the crease

10.2 - Ashwin to Dhawan, out Caught by S Tiwary!! This is so smartly done by Ashwin. He held it back in flight and looped it wider after seeing Dhawan charging down, but was still courageous enough to keep it slow through the air. Dhawan can't meet the pitch and tries to go through with the slog against the turn, gets it off the toe-end and lobs it to long-on. Mind you, it's taken just a couple of yards inside the ropes. So the dangerous Dhawan is on his way back. Dhawan c S Tiwary b Ashwin 33(27) [4s-2 6s-2]

9.5 - R Bhatia to Williamson, 2 runs, Williamson waits and nudges it through mid-wicket, has time to come back for the second as well

9.4 - R Bhatia to Dhawan, 1 run, sinks down and sweeps, Dhoni was interested in an lbw appeal, but Dhawan did get it off the inner part of the bat, the ball rolled down to square leg

9.3 - R Bhatia to Dhawan, SIX, this man packs some power for sure. As he tried to loft this cover drive, the bottom hand came off his bat, but it still had enough on it to clear the deep extra cover fence with ease

9.2 - R Bhatia to Williamson, leg byes, 1 run, misses the line a bit, Williamson misses the flick and the ball rolls off his pad to short fine leg

9.1 - R Bhatia to Dhawan, 1 run, length ball outside off, Dhawan push-drives towards extra cover, a fumble by Zampa allows a single

Rajat Bhatia, right-arm medium, comes into the attack

Time-out in place. This pitch is showing its true colours, it is not going to be easy batting second for sure. But do HYD have enough spinning ammunition in their repertoire? As I type this, Bhatia is seen marking his run-up

Williamson 11(17) Dhawan 25(23) Ashwin 2-0-12-0

8.6 - Ashwin to Williamson, no run, slower again and was going down the leg-side, Williamson was early on the nudge and the leading edge rolled back to the bowler

8.5 - Ashwin to Williamson, FOUR, quicker but Ashwin missed the line and length, ended up bowling it well wide. Williamson clatters the cut past backward point, the ball rockets to the fence

8.4 - Ashwin to Dhawan, 1 run, Dhawan stays back in his crease and then punches it to long-off with ease

8.3 - Ashwin to Dhawan, no run, flatter delivery, Dhawan nudges to mid-wicket

8.2 - Ashwin to Williamson, 1 run, Williamson waits for the turn and then turns it to deep backward square leg. No second run there which Dhawan was interested in for a while

8.1 - Ashwin to Williamson, no run, very full on the stumps Williamson works it into the on-side, no luck with the gap

7.6 - Zampa to Dhawan, no run, much slower googly through the air and too full to be broomed away. Dhawan misses the sweep but he did not drag his back leg, Dhoni, though, appealed for it

7.5 - Zampa to Dhawan, no run, fences this flatter delivery to point, no run on offer

7.4 - Zampa to Dhawan, 2 runs, Dhawan ventures out of his crease and gets close to the pitch of the ball, works it wide of long-on and has enough time to add a couple to the tally

7.3 - Zampa to Williamson, 1 run, drops it well short, lucky that Williamson found deep mid-wicket on the pull

7.2 - Zampa to Dhawan, 1 run, looked like a googly, was bowled slower through the air as well. Dhawan punches it to sweeper cover for a single

7.1 - Zampa to Williamson, 1 run, tossed up delivery on the stumps, Williamson nurdles it through mid-wicket, was interested in the second as well but it was not there

5.6 - RP Singh to Dhawan, SIX, if cricket matches coule be settled on the basis of shots, this one has won it for Hyderabad. What a shot this was from Dhawan. Stepped down the track and lofted the length ball over the bowler's head, timed it really well, the ball thuds into the sight-screen. Wow!

5.5 - RP Singh to Dhawan, 2 runs, short and a bit of width, Dhawan thrashes the cut and hits it to the left of sweeper cover. Bailey moves to his left and saves a couple of runs for his team

5.4 - RP Singh to Dhawan, FOUR, Dhawan stayed leg-side, the ball was a bit wide, there to be hit. Dhawan let his arms take over and drove it past extra cover, was in the air for a while but away from the reach of the fielder

5.3 - RP Singh to Dhawan, no run, this is what pressure does to you. I have not seen Dhawan doing this often, moves across and wants to lap this length ball behind, does not connect

5.2 - RP Singh to Dhawan, no run, short and just outside off, Dhawan fetches the pull to mid-on. Williamson was well outside his crease, a direct hit at the bowler's end would have been close

5.1 - RP Singh to Williamson, 1 run, back of a length delivery, Williamson stays in his crease and tucks behind the square on the on-side for a single

4.3 - Dinda to Williamson, wide, bumper down the leg-side, called a wide for the height though

4.2 - Dinda to Williamson, no run, width on offer but the length was not there to be cut, moved a bit as well. Williamson was trying to poke at it with his feet glued to the crease, lucky that he did not get an edge

3.5 - RP Singh to Williamson, 1 run, angles this one away from Williamson, some extra bounce, just a little but not enough to cause any harm. Williamson adjusts well on the cut and sends it down to third man for a single

3.4 - RP Singh to Williamson, no run, slower? Not sure but the lack of bounce made it a bit tough for Williamson to flay the cut, the ball carried to Dhoni on a bounce

3.3 - RP Singh to Williamson, no run, back of a length delivery on the stumps, Williamson defends from his crease

Kane Williamson, right handed bat, comes to the crease

3.2 - RP Singh to Warner, out Caught by Dhoni!! The umpire took forever to raise his finger but what matters is that he did raise it in the end. Swing, late swing has done the trick for RP. He kept it full even as Warner moved a bit towards the leg-side to free his arms on the drive, the ball moved late, kissed the edge of the bat and just about carried to Dhoni behind the stumps. 2.5 - Dinda to Dhawan, no run, those are bread and butter for Dhawan. Why did not he go for that? Short and wide outside off, he was thinking to ramp it over the keeper, changed his mind and let it go

0.3 - Dinda to Warner, 1 run, first runs on the board for HYD. Another one that swung in from middle, no room for Warner to free his arms, he tucks it to mid-wicket and gets off the mark

0.2 - Dinda to Warner, no run, Dinda goes full and gets it to shape in well. Warner defends well back to the bowler, who hurls a throw at the striker's end. Warner was well in

Warner is not happy with something behind the bowler's arm. Seems to be happy now

0.1 - Dinda to Warner, no run, some movement for Dinda. Straightens this one from the stumps, Warner defends close to the body

Warner and Dhawan are at the crease. Warner is on strike. Dinda will open the attack

Phew, this match would have poked a dead man alive! Having opted to bat, Warner took the road less travelled and reaped dividends with an atypical win and a top slot in the points table. Pune are out of the T20 League, and dare I say, out of that recursive loop of injuries that marred their entire campaign, sadly. If there ever was a vicious spell, Pune Supergiants suffered under it. That's it from tonight. Join us tomorrow as the T20 League production line continues to churn out thrill. Good night from Pratyush Sinha on behalf of Sagar Chawla, Abhishek Chaudhary and our scorer Venkatesh. Ta-ta!

Adam Zampa: "Has not sunk in yet but a disappointing end to the game. Knew that the batsmen would come hard. We were under pressure there but legspinners are always in the game. Dhoni did not really tell me that I had to bowl the last over. Just picked up the ball and threw it on the ground. I wanted to bowl obviously - it was spinning and was pretty tough out there. He just told me that leg side was his (Hooda's) strength and asked me to fire it wider (referring to a mid-pitch chat that led to a wicket). We have to try and finish this season well now. India and Indian people, the pressure of fans, the crowd is a different experience."

Adam Zampa is the Man of the Match. His bowling figures are the second-best ever in the history of T20 League

"It was a very close game. I knew the wicket would be slow and tough, and hence runs on board were key. We were 25-30 runs below par. When I came back, I saw 20 odd for 1 after the powerplay, all sorts of thoughts came to my mind. The guys are a great bunch of lads. We are always in each other's faces, jumping around in pools. Everybody comes out with a smile and gives their 100 percent. I tend to sit back, assess the condition and then do my job. We have a great bunch of support staff. Last couple of games have been phenomenal. Zampa has a big future ahead. Dhoni had good faith in him to give him the last over of the innings," lets out an obviously jolly Warner

"Initially I look to swing the ball. We believed in ourselves. Nehra bowled a tremendous over," chirps out Bhuvneshwar donning his new Purple Cap. Russell has the same number of wickets but Bhuvneshwar has a superlative economy

"Well, close games are tough ones to digest but you also have to look at what went right. We won 3 games comfortably and other games went down to the wire. Something is not right for us. The new ball bowling was good and we did well to restrict them. If you compare the bowling attacks, their's can exploit the condition more. We lost Rahane early and a partnership was important but we kept losing wickets. Zampa was very good. The first few games, we played with the best eleven. Wickets were something that we lacked and he (Zampa) gave us that stability too. What's important is to see the bench strength now. If we can't field the players, we can let them go to other franchises. It's to be seen who grabs the opportunity and it will make it easy for us in the next season," says poker-face Dhoni

It always looked a tricky total from the start on this tricky wicket. To compound matters, the strategy employed by Dhoni was baffling to say the least. Sending in Ashwin at no.4 and Tiwary ahead of himself was not what the doctor ordered, but that's MSD for you. Some really good seam and swing bowling by the HYD bowlers on this muggy evening never let the PUNE batting take off. The best finisher in the business almost got the PUNE home in the end but the brilliance of Nehra proved to be the game changer in the end.

One would have thought that this will be easy for PUNE but cricket as they say is a game of glorious uncertainties. It kept swinging like a pendulum until the end when it came down to MSD and Perera. It was 14 off 6, and they failed to get PUNE home. Nehra, the experienced pro, managed to put the lid on the PUNE run in this tourney. It was drama as Dhoni got run out on the second last ball. The penultimate over by Mustafizur was important too as he gave away only 8 runs in that over.

19.6 - Nehra to Zampa, out Caught by N Ojha!! Can you believe? Ojha just killed a potential Super Over but you have to be that brilliant to do that. What. A. Catch. Zampa opened his bat face to glide this ball down to third man, had made an alright connection but a finer angle brought Ojha into play. Lets his midriff rubber out as he dived to his right and grabbed a one-handed thrilling Super Over-murdering wonder catch. Pune Supergiants bow out of the T20 League, resultingly. With the field set for a leg-stump yorker length delivery, Nehra bowls a bumper and Dhoni is stunned into a top edge. The ball loops back where Sran runs across from short third man and throws it at the striker's end. Yuvraj swoops in from backward point and takes the bails out. 19.3 - Nehra to T Perera, out Caught by Henriques!! Nehra jee, you killer of contests! Bangs it on a length but hurled it wisely wide of off, Perera had to make his own power. Tried doing that with a flat-batted loft but couldn't life in the shot with much of it. A simple catch offered to extra cover. All a matter of three boundaries off three legal balls now. 18.5 - Mustafizur to T Perera, 2 runs, a leading edge balloons towards long-off and a triumvirate aren't a crowd enough to catch that. Long-off, mid-off and deep cover all run in...only to find the ball on the ground

18.4 - Mustafizur to Dhoni, 1 run, drilled this full toss back and the Fizz half-stopped it. The Fizz can take pace off anything..

16.3 - Mustafizur to T Perera, 1 run, nah, you don't turn down invitations. Full toss outside off, Perera ends up stabbing it into the pitch. The dip was the demon there. Mid-off fires a mediocre throw but Perera makes it. Dhoni made it hours back

George Bailey, right handed bat, comes to the crease

Two slips now

0.3 - Bhuvneshwar to Rahane, out Caught by N Ojha!! If you have been missing cricket in whites, read on. Shortens the length a touch, gets the ball to curl away rather viciously and Rahane, well he forgot to use his feet. Got opened up by the swing, has a poke and edges it behind to the keeper.
