So, all eyes on Steyn-gun to deliver. The GUJ players have emerged on the edge of the boundary ropes. A mini conflab and off they go. The swinging arms are out too. Davey Warner along with Shikhar Dhawan. Dale Steyn expectedly gets the new nut. When is the last time he played a cricket match? T20 WC against Sri Lanka I reckon. One slip for him. Steyn to Warner. Ah! This will be exciting...

Bhuvneshwar: "I was happy to bowl inswing to Finch. I was happy to bowl the inswinger as he does not play that well. Swing is always the best option in any format. (Mustafizur) he is a bowler who bowls with a different action. He has a good slower one and difficult to pick. He is a fun-loving guy in the dressing room. I am happy with the score. It swung for us."

HYD bowled with purpose and discipline to restrict GUJ to a below par score. It was Bhuvi who starred for them by using a stream of slower ones to keep the opposition guessing. He was rewarded with four wickets. Mustafizur and Barinder also showed their mettle with fine performances. For GUJ, Suresh Raina led from the front with a thrill-a-minute half-century. The track is holding up a bit and it won't be easy to chase this down.

19.6 - Bhuvneshwar to Steyn, out Caught by Eoin Morgan!! Back of the hand slower one from Bhuvneshwar, Steyn can't pick it and slogs it to long-on, who takes it easily. In the final over, Bhuvneshwar snared three scalps for the HYD camp. Steyn c Eoin Morgan b Bhuvneshwar 1(2)

19.5 - Bhuvneshwar to P Kumar, 1 run, Praveen comes down the track and then slugs it to long-on

19.4 - Bhuvneshwar to Steyn, 1 run, Bhuvneshwar can't get his hat-trick. Very full and on the stumps, Steyn lifts it to long-on and picks up a single. If the fielder at long-on had picked up the ball early and run in, he might have had a a chance there

Praveen Kumar, right handed bat, comes to the crease

19.3 - Bhuvneshwar to Akshdeep Nath, out Caught by Bipul Sharma!! Bhuvneshwar continues to bowl a slew of slower ones and picks up another. He is on a hat-trick now. Nath clubs it to cover where Bipul grabs it easily. Akshdeep Nath c Bipul Sharma b Bhuvneshwar 5(10)

Bhuvneshwar to Akshdeep Nath, THAT'S OUT!! Caught!!

Dale Steyn, right handed bat, comes to the crease

19.2 - Bhuvneshwar to Raina, out Caught by Henriques!! Raina's enterprising knock comes to an end. The slower one from Bhuvneshwar, Raina gets his heave off the toe-end and Henriques at long-on snaffles an easy one. Raina c Henriques b Bhuvneshwar 75(51) [4s-9]

Bhuvneshwar to Raina, THAT'S OUT!! Caught!!

19.1 - Bhuvneshwar to Raina, FOUR, with a concoction of timing and placement, Raina backs away and carves it to the left of the backward point fielder and it runs away to the fence. In fact, the fielder at backward point was late to dive across and as a result, could not get to the ball. Warner was not happy with the effort for sure and gave him a glare

18.4 - Mustafizur to Akshdeep Nath, no run, wide yorker from Mustafizur, Nath misses with his dab. It was bowled at 141ks

18.3 - Mustafizur to Akshdeep Nath, no run, what was Nath doing there? He sinks on one knee and attempts the scoop, but Mustafizur loses his radar and bowls a full toss. Nath missed his shot and the ball might have pinged his helmet. Luckily for him, it didn't. The umpire did not give it as a no-ball as Nath had sunk on one knee

18.2 - Mustafizur to Akshdeep Nath, 2 runs, Nath takes a step out of the crease to a slower one and tries to hammer it over cover, but gets it off the toe-end and luckily for him lands between three fielders in the deep

18.1 - Mustafizur to Akshdeep Nath, no run, oh! Boy! It is a child's play for Mustafizur to bowl these slower ones. Another off-pace delivery from him, Nath goes for the heave and misses

17.4 - Barinder to Raina, FOUR, Barinder tries the back of the hand slower one, but Raina picks it and hoicks it to the mid-wicket fence. It was a meaty blow from him. On the other hand, Barinder bowled it at 86ks

17.3 - Barinder to Akshdeep Nath, 1 run, length delivery and outside off, Nath cuts it square on the off-side

17.2 - Barinder to Akshdeep Nath, no run, the off-pace delivery that was bowled just inside the guidelines for an umpire, Nath can't connect with his slap and not given as a wide

16.6 - Mustafizur to Akshdeep Nath, no run, another slower one from Mustafizur, Nath tries to dab it to third man and misses. Mustafizur also has the uncanny ability to extract a bit of extra bounce on his slower ones and that makes it difficult for a batsman to play him off the pitch, if not from the hand

Akshdeep Nath, right handed bat, comes to the crease

16.5 - Mustafizur to Jadeja, out Bowled!! Now, that felt as if it was a fast offspinner from Mustafizur as he picks up the key scalp of Jadeja. The off-cutter from Mustafizur, Jadeja attempts to hoick it across the line and connects with thin air. The ball crashes into the off-stump. Jadeja b Mustafizur 14(14)

15.6 - Bhuvneshwar to Jadeja, 1 run, the off-pace delivery and Bhuvneshwar keeps it in the channel outside off, dabbed to short third man. For a moment it felt as if the duo would look to take on the fielder and pinch another run. However, they decide not to take the risk

15.6 - Bhuvneshwar to Jadeja, wide, width on offer, Jadeja attempts to cut and misses, signalled as a wide

15.5 - Bhuvneshwar to Jadeja, 2 runs, length delivery and outside off, Jadeja drives it to sweeper cover for a duece. Again good running between the wickets

15.3 - Bhuvneshwar to Jadeja, no run, short of length delivery and on the stumps, pushed back towards the bowler

15.2 - Bhuvneshwar to Raina, 1 run, slower back of a length delivery from Bhuvneshwar, Raina backs away and cuts it to sweeper cover

15.1 - Bhuvneshwar to Jadeja, 1 run, a tad fuller and outside off, Jadeja stays slightly leg-side of the ball and pats it to third man

Jadeja 6(6) Raina 61(42) Mustafizur 2-0-11-0

14.6 - Mustafizur to Jadeja, 1 run, the yorker length from Mustafizur, Jadeja is using the depth of the crease to stay back and make sure that Mustafizur won't bowl the toe-crusher. As a result, clips it to mid-wicket. Good game of chess between the bowler and the batsman. Who will win it in the end?

14.5 - Mustafizur to Jadeja, no run, low full toss and just outside off, Jadeja drives it to cover

14.4 - Mustafizur to Raina, 1 run, full and straight from Mustafizur, Raina clips it to deep square leg

14.3 - Mustafizur to Raina, FOUR, the trademark lofted shot from Raina. Very full and on the stumps, Raina lifts it to long-on, where Warner runs around the boundary, but it goes through his hands as he looks to stop the boundary. It facilitates Raina to collect a four

14.2 - Mustafizur to Jadeja, 1 run, another off-pace delivery, this time Jadeja does not pick it, but pushes it to cover-point for a single

14.1 - Mustafizur to Jadeja, 2 runs, another off-cutter from the magic man, Mustafizur. Jadeja reads it from the hand and clips it to mid-wicket. The pair steal a couple. Exemplary running between the wickets there

13.6 - Barinder to Jadeja, 1 run, the cross-seamer from Sran, Jadeja punches it to long-off. The bat came down at a straight angle there. Jadeja has a habit of getting his bat down from first slip. So, that is a good sign for Jadeja

13.5 - Barinder to Raina, 1 run, fuller length and just outside off, Raina takes a step or two out of the crease and drives it to sweeper cover. It was in the air for a while, but no damage done

13.4 - Barinder to Jadeja, 1 run, back of a length delivery and on off-stump, Jadeja pulls it to long-on

Ravindra Jadeja, left handed bat, comes to the crease

13.1 - Barinder to Dwayne Bravo, out Caught by Bhuvneshwar!! Another incision has been made. It is Bravo who has been chugged down. GUJ are losing the plot here. Raina 5(2) Brendon McCullum 0(0) Bhuvneshwar 1-0-5-1

0.6 - Bhuvneshwar to Raina, 1 run, denies him the room outside off and sees him tuck this one uppishly to backward square leg. With that, Raina has 6000 T20 runs and is the first Indian to do so

0.5 - Bhuvneshwar to Raina, FOUR, this Uttar Pradesh connection ruins moments. A wicket last ball and this time a full length delivery has been creamed through covers by Raina. Leant forward and eased himself into a flowing drive. No one moved

Suresh Raina, left handed bat, comes to the crease

0.4 - Bhuvneshwar to Finch, out Bowled!! Get a wheelchair for Finch! No feet whatsoever. The ball was swinging, Kumar kept pitching it up and this time gets the ball to dart in viciously. Befuddles a flat-footed Finch who was looking to play straight but had made enough room to see the ball cut into him make a mess of the stumps behind. Finch b Bhuvneshwar 0(4)

Bhuvneshwar to Finch, THAT'S OUT!! Bowled!!

No slip still..

0.3 - Bhuvneshwar to Finch, no run, lovely. Sticks to the pitched up length, Finch has his feet glued and chops the forced defence on his boot

0.2 - Bhuvneshwar to Finch, no run, fuller length thankfully, and the inward movement means that Finch's punch is off the inside half of the bat to mid-on

0.1 - Bhuvneshwar to Finch, no run, Bhuvi bowls it on a length and the ball swings in to hurry Finch. Hit on the pad as he tries to flick but way down leg

Finch and Brendon McCullum are at the crease. Finch is on strike. Bhuvneshwar will open the attack

Courtesy a hammering, HYD jump to the fourth position while Gujarat stay glued to the second spot, courtesy all the beginner's luck. The T20 League caravan will continue to trundle. Tomorrow sees two three-lettered teams lock horns. Pune take on Bangalore in Pune. Join us for that. For now, it's a good night from Pratyush Sinha on behalf of magician Raju Peethala, learned Bharath Ramaraj and wonderboy Sreenivas. Ta-ta!

So, it's getting worse, isn't it? This was as lopsided as it can be. A slow pitch couldn't help either. But this was a day of lookbacks: Steyn's return and his continuum of struggles with the white ball, Dhawan's perennial search for form seeing a (temporary?) stoppage, Raina's free-flowing strokeplay that sadly didn't prove potent enough and Bhuvneshwar's swing sword getting a mouth.

Bhuvi: "Finch's wicket was a big boost because he was scoring runs for them. We were looking to get him out early because their team is heavily dependent on a few batsmen. Swinging the ball is my strength and I always look to do that. I try to get early wickets to put the opposition on the back foot. Sran swings it up front and Mustafizur bowls very good slower balls and bowling at death with him is an amazing experience. No one can bowl the way he bowls. Happy with the win because we were under pressure after the first two losses, but sometimes pressure brings the best out of you."

Bhuvneshwar Kumar is the Man of the Match

"I have to give credit to the bowlers. Gave us the opportunity to win, and the way we judged the situation, getting their in 14 odd overs, was fantastic. I felt the ball kept a little bit low. We knew it would be two-paced and the ball didn't get up much. Bhuvi's change of pace is amazing and Mustafizur is very hard to hit, his change of pace is amazing. I faced him first in Bangalore and he knocked my blocks off. I think he is now playing Test and ODI cricket as well. I think the Master, Sachin Tendulkar, used a heavy bat as well. It might not be as big as some of the other bats going around, like Chris Gayle's but it's the bat-maker that makes that. It's all a roller-coaster, I am hitting the ball well today and might not the next day. If we can keep chasing totals like this, we will go a long way in the tournament," says David Warner who collects the Orange Cap

Raina: "Toss is not really crucial. We thought the wicket will slow up later. We just didn't score enough. Started well but lost too many wickets. 160 would have been good. This wicket was different to the last one. Every batter has to be clear with his batting plan but has to build a partnership before going for the big shots. We needed to have wickets in hand to execute plans later. We have to do really well in the next game. I am happy with my form; getting the 20-25s. Credit to Hyderabad who played well. We have to stick to our basics and need to work hard with the new ball to get wickets. We will come hard in the next game."

Earlier, Suresh Raina composed a breezy 51-ball 75 to hold the innings together. With Brendon McCullum batting at the other end, GUJ looked set to post a daunting target. However, HYD rallied on the back of Bhuvneshwar, Mustafizur and Barinder to pull things back. Once GUJ ended up with a modest total, it was always going to be an uphill task to usurp their formidable foes. This turns out to be GUJ's first loss of the season.

David Warner's free-wheeling half-century ensured that there were no hiccups in HYD's chase as they crossed the finish line without losing a single wicket. He twinned raw power and placement to crack a volley of strokes. Dhawan, too, showed signs of coming back into form with a well-constructed 41-ball 53.

14.5 - Jadeja to Warner, FOUR, there it is. Hyderabad win by 10 wickets. T-e-n w-i-c-k-e-t-s. Yes, you read it right. Width dished out as dessert. Actually not much width, this spun back in but Warner can do that to the commentators. Dabs it ever so late through third man, collects a boundary and lets out a cheeky grin

14.4 - Jadeja to Dhawan, 3 runs, good slide and a reverse flick to save a boundary from Kulkarni at deep backward square. Full ball on the pads, gets the treatment with a twirl of the wrists and the dive saved the blushes

14.3 - Jadeja to Dhawan, 2 runs, what's rarer than Halley's comet? Shikhar Dhawan's form. Even rarer is a half-century. These days, mind you. Shimmies down, flicks this and collects a brace to deep mid-wicket

14.2 - Jadeja to Dhawan, 2 runs, this is well played. Allows this ball outside off to almost pass him and then glides it wide of backward point

14.1 - Jadeja to Warner, 1 run, spreads his legs and clobbers this ball cross-batted through mid-wicket. No timing, just the fancy intent

Now 11 needed. 6 overs to go. Nothing can be easier than this, except perhaps ball-by-ball commentary

13.6 - D Kulkarni to Warner, 1 run, sees the shorter length and backs away to give his elbows some space. Throws his bat and thwarts it over extra cover

13.5 - D Kulkarni to Dhawan, 1 run, readjusts the line and length. This is fullish on the pads and it's an easy clip through backward square leg

13.4 - D Kulkarni to Dhawan, FOUR, quite possible that this is Dhawan with a Warner mask. Short, wide, mediocre, poor. Thumped with a cut wide of backward point

13.3 - D Kulkarni to Dhawan, 2 runs, you can roll all the fingers you want but that pungent line down leg won't help. The flick beats backward square leg's dive and fetches a brace

13.2 - D Kulkarni to Dhawan, no run, shortens the length wisely outside off and Dhawan blocks it square with an open bat

13.1 - D Kulkarni to Warner, 1 run, had a readymade room made, Kulkarni follows him with a fuller length delivery and sees a clipped single to mid-wicket

Dhawal Kulkarni, right-arm fast medium, comes into the attack

12.6 - Jadeja to Warner, 1 run, slightly short allowing Warner to stay back and pack a punch to long-on. Keeps the strike. Only fair for the captain if he wants an easy finish. Well..

12.5 - Jadeja to Dhawan, 1 run, dances down and then has to mellow seeing the shorter length. Arrests the skip, bends and pushes it to long-on as an afterthought

12.4 - Jadeja to Dhawan, no run, a tad short and much wide outside off, and a dab was played straight to backward point

12.3 - Jadeja to Dhawan, 2 runs, too straight and tickles a brace to fine leg

12.2 - Jadeja to Dhawan, no run, bounces a touch more, beats the flick and surprises Dhawan who was struck on the thigh pad

12.1 - Jadeja to Dhawan, no run, darted on the pad, Dhawan crossed his bat in front of the pad for a push to mid-on

11.5 - Dwayne Bravo to Dhawan, FOUR, slower ball gone awry...at waist height. Dhawan pulls (yes, that high) and collects a relieving boundary through mid-wicket. I could almost hear a "Phew.."

11.4 - Dwayne Bravo to Dhawan, FOUR, what was that? A grass-slash of a sweep to a delivery down leg. Lovely. Sees the full delivery down leg, closes himself up and adjusts with the dip to sweep it through fine leg

11.3 - Dwayne Bravo to Warner, 1 run, this is an event because it's a 130ks length ball outside off, Warner bunts it to third man with a dab. And he's now the leading run-scorer this T20 League

11.2 - Dwayne Bravo to Dhawan, 1 run, yorker that dips at a very slow pace and forces Dhawan to squeeze it out round the corner

11.1 - Dwayne Bravo to Warner, 1 run, Bravo is just a quicker spinner. A rich man's Jadeja. Another off-pace on leg-stump and Warner tucks a single to mid-wicket with a shuffle

10.5 - Jadeja to Warner, no run, shaved off the pads to mid-wicket

10.4 - Jadeja to Dhawan, 1 run, slower through the air, Dhawan rises with the bounce and pushes a single to long-on

10.3 - Jadeja to Warner, 1 run, round-armish on middle, Warner pre-created room allows him a swat to long-on

10.2 - Jadeja to Warner, no run, gets his radar die-straight and Warner forces a defence back

10.1 - Jadeja to Dhawan, 1 run, darted outside off, spins in a touch and sees Dhawan bunt it open-batted to point

9.5 - Tambe to Dhawan, 1 run, loops up on leg-stump, Dhawan swipes past backward square for an easy single

9.4 - Tambe to Dhawan, 2 runs, slower on middle and leg, Dhawan uses his wrists to drag it through mid-wicket

9.3 - Tambe to Warner, 1 run, shortish on leg-stump, knocked down to long-on

9.2 - Tambe to Dhawan, 1 run, drop-and-run cricket from Dhawan, taps under his nose and sprints straightaway. A clean pick-up from DK would have made things interesting

9.2 - Tambe to Dhawan, wide, would have been a peach to a right-hander. Pitched on middle and spun down leg as Dhawan flicks and misses

8.3 - Dwayne Bravo to Dhawan, 1 run, changes the pace but refuses to change the line, whipped along the ground to deep mid-wicket

7.3 - Raina to Dhawan, 1 run, floated up on the stumps, Dhawan is content with a single to square leg

7.2 - Raina to Dhawan, no run, an ambitious appeal for lbw! Dhawan got an inside edge on the forward push

7.2 - Raina to Dhawan, wide, some brooming business in the middle as Dhawan sweeps and misses. Doesn't matter though as Raina sprayed it down leg

7.1 - Raina to Warner, 1 run, shortish offspinner outside off, Warner jumps back and flashes, ekes out a thick outside edge that thuds DK's forearm and rolls into the off-side. Can't call it as a drop
