Tim Southee to start the attack with 3 slips and a gully in place...

Coming to the post-dinner session, Australia just needed 3 wickets and it took only 9.2 overs to wrap up the New Zealand innings. One can comfortably say, the wickets were more of a gift rather than the bowlers claiming it. Lest we forget that the Aussie pacers were right on top more often than not. Now it's up to the swinging blade of David Warner and solid Joe Burns, who will be out in the middle in a few moments from now...

Well! The big news is that Mitchell-slingy-Starc is on his way to the hospital and he will undergo a few scans. Meanwhile, on the ground, Peter Siddle leads the Australian team off the field. Exhibits the pink ball to the whole crowd and he couldn't hide that cheeky grin off his face. What a moment for the Victorian.

65.2 - Hazlewood to Southee, out Caught by Warner!! David Andrew Warner - he doesn't miss many, does he? Just grabs the catch and flings it high into the dusky sky. For Southee this statement would be apt - you live by the sword and you die by the sword. He kept wafting, whacking, slogging, heaving and finally he mistimes one towards the fielder. Stays rooted to the crease and toe-ends the loft towards deepish mid-off. Warner settles under it and completes an easy catch. Southee c Warner b Hazlewood 16(15) [4s-1 6s-1]

Hazlewood to Southee, THAT'S OUT!! Caught!!

65.1 - Hazlewood to Southee, no run, length delivery in the channel outside off, Southee wanted to deposit that over the moon but couldn't connect with his wild swing

Boult 2(7) Southee 16(13) Siddle 17-5-54-2

64.6 - Siddle to Boult, 2 runs, backs away and whacks this short of length delivery over the extra cover region, didn't get hold of it but the batsmen have ample time to pick up two before David Warner from mid-off chases it down

64.5 - Siddle to Southee, 1 run, low full toss on the pads, Southee flicks behind square on the leg-side and brings up the 200 for New Zealand

64.4 - Siddle to Southee, no run, fires it full on off, Southee manages to dig it out towards mid-on

64.3 - Siddle to Southee, no run, beaten three times in a row! Looks to pull this short of length delivery and makes no connection whatsoever

64.2 - Siddle to Southee, no run, and again! Southee attempts an ugly whack at this good length delivery, this one didn't have much venom, just bounced over the stumps

64.1 - Siddle to Southee, no run, swing and a miss! Short in length and rose extra past the pulling willow of Tim Southee, beaten on the top-edge

63.3 - Hazlewood to Southee, 2 runs, closes the bat face on this late dab, gets it in the gap between slip cordon and gully

63.2 - Hazlewood to Southee, no run, wow! How do you play that? Unplayable stuff from Hazlewood. Good length in the corridor of uncertainty, gets it to straighten past the poking blade of Southee, beaten neck and crop

63.1 - Hazlewood to Southee, 2 runs, Adam Voges drops a steepler, maybe he overran and that can happen when you run backwards. Dug in short and outside off, Southee gets a top-edge on the pull. Ball swirls high and behind the slip cordon, Voges from second slip ran back, manages to get both hands, but the ball got big on him and he just couldn't cling on, takes a tumble afterwards. Southee comes back for the second

61.2 - Hazlewood to Watling, out Caught by Smith!! Steven Smith's held that like a baby. Went at an awkward height (around midriff) but smudge did well to engulf with both hands. Thick outside edge pops out to the left of first slip and Smithy accepts it gleefully. First catch in the slip cordon of the first-ever day-night Test match. G'day everyone! Welcome to the TWILIGHT session of the first-ever day night Test match. Australia are 3 wickets away from having a crack with the bat. Meanwhile the tail will try to wag as much as possible, 200 will be their first target IMP. Siddle, who is just one wicket away from his 200th Test wicket, is ready with the ball. 2 slips and a gully in place...

Craig played two lovely strokes before perishing to a beauty from Lyon. Even though Watling did well to hold one end up in the post-tea session, the job is far from over as New Zealand are currenly facing a risk of getting bowled out below 200. For the Aussies, they'll want to take these final three wickets in a hurry. Their only worry will be the ankle injury to Mitchell Starc, who had to go off the field to receive treatment. When we come back in half an hour's time, we will witness the floodlights taking full control for the first time in a Test match. Something that we all have been looking forward to. Take a break and join us at 19:00 local for the post-dinner session.

As the players take dinner at the Adelaide Oval, the floodlights are slowly starting to take effect. The Aussies will be very happy with how things panned out in this session. From 94/2, New Zealand lost Latham, Taylor and McCullum in quick succession to slump to 98/5. Even though the debutant Santner gave good company to Watling for some time, he was taken out by Mitchell Starc, bringing an end to the 44-run 6th wicket partnership.
