Sunil Narine and Kieron Pollard are back in the West Indies ODI team

West Indies have recalled off-spinner Sunil Narine and all-rounder Kieron Pollard in the ODI squad for the first four matches of the upcoming tri-nation series involving Australia and South Africa.

The duo have not played any international match since November 2015.

Narine was suspended from bowling in international cricket after the ICC found his bowling action to be illegal during West Indies' tour of Sri Lanka.

However, the off-spinner was cleared to bowl in April, just days before the ongoing ninth edition of the Indian Premier League.

Pollard, on the other hand, has missed the international cricket arena after suffering from knee injury during the Ram Slam T20 Challenge in South Africa.

Besides these two, star batsmen Carlos Brathwaite and Marlon Samuels have also been named in the 14-man squad following their brilliant performances in the World T20.

Uncapped players Ashley Nurse and fast bowler Shannon Gabriel have also earned a place for the tri-series.

On the other hand, all-rounder Andre Russell, T20 skipper Darren Sammy, Dwayne Bravo and the swashbuckling batsman Chris Gayle have been dropped from the squad.

West Indies will play their first match of the 10-match ODI tri-series against South Africa on June 3 in Guyana.

West Indies ODI squad for first four matches:

Jason Holder (capt), Sulieman Benn, Carlos Brathwaite, Darren Bravo, Jonathan Carter, Johnson Charles, Andre Fletcher, Shannon Gabriel, Sunil Narine, Ashley Nurse, Kieron Pollard, Denesh Ramdin, Marlon Samuels, Jerome Taylor.
