Sanjay Bangar named as Head Coach of India for Zimbabwe Tour

Sanjay Bangar has been named as the head coach of the Indian team for the Zimbabwe tour.

The Zimbabwe tour consists of three ODIs and three T20Is and will commence from June 8. Abhay Sharma has been appointed as the fielding coach of the team.

A statement issued by the BCCI said,

 

 

Mr. Sanjay Bangar has been appointed as the Head Coach of the Indian cricket team for the forthcoming tour to Zimbabwe, which commences on the 8th of June comprising 3 One-Day International matches and 3 T20 International matches to be played in Harare.

 

 

It further added, "Mr. Abhay Sharma has been appointed as the fielding coach of the team."

"The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has appointed Mr. Koka Ramesh, a former cricketer and Zonal Secretary of the Andhra Cricket Association, as the Administrative Manager of the Indian team for the tour to Zimbabwe," it said in conclusion.

Bangar was the coach of the Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise Kings XI Punjab in the 2016 edition.
