151.3 - S Gabriel to Kaushal, FOUR, little fuller and width on offer, Kaushal opts to drive and does so by timing it to perfection. Placed it through cover and it raced away

150.2 - Devendra Bishoo to Kaushal, FOUR, Sri Lanka's number 10 has hit a boundary against the lone spin warrior from the Windies - That should tell you some story about this innings. Short and outside off, Kaushal steps back and cuts that right from the middle of the bat - through cover and it's a boundary

149.3 - S Gabriel to K Perera, FOUR, that's a lollypop for Perera. Stays inside the crease to this enticing full toss and clobbers the drive wide of mid-off, two in two for Perera now

149.2 - S Gabriel to K Perera, FOUR, very full and on middle and leg, Perera makes room and looks to slog, gets an inside edge that races past the leg-stump and into the fine leg fence

147.0 - Devendra Bishoo to Dhammika, FOUR, short and width on offer, Prasad slaps the cut through cover and brings up his first boundary

137.3 - Jerome Taylor to Mathews, FOUR, edged and four! Taylor offers width outside off and Mathews goes after it as well. He flashes hard, the ball catches the outside edge and runs away in the gap between slip and gully. Taylor has his hands on his knees in frustration

131.4 - Jerome Taylor to Chandimal, FOUR, well played by Chandimal. Reaches 150 with this boundary. He raises his bat to acknowledge the applause from the crowd and his teammates. This was a back of a length delivery outside off, Chandimal stays inside the crease as he waits for the ball to arrive, guides it in the gap between gully and backward point, runs away to the fence in a jiffy

128.2 - S Gabriel to Chandimal, 5 wides, this is poor bowling, that's way down the leg side and Ramdin had no chance. Rightly, the umpire calls that a wide

128.1 - S Gabriel to Chandimal, byes, FOUR, a bit of inswing and lack of discipline down the leg side, too wide to even miss the tickle, runs to the fine leg fence

125.1 - Roach to Chandimal, FOUR, width is contagious! Short and wide dished up, Chandimal brings out the cut and ball flies square of the wicket to the fence

123.1 - Samuels to Mathews, FOUR, lots of candy width outside off, Mathews obliges with a cut shot to get another boundary in this session

122.3 - Devendra Bishoo to Chandimal, FOUR, flighted delivery outside off, Chandimal reaches with a sweep and creams it behind square on the leg-side, barrage of boundaries continue

119.4 - Samuels to Chandimal, FOUR, cheeky! Straighter delivery, Chandimal gets on one knee and paddle-sweeps it very fine towards the fine leg boundary

118.5 - Devendra Bishoo to Mathews, FOUR, bad ball punished! Short ball is bludgeoned away with a fierce pull to the deep mid-wicket boundary

118.0 - Samuels to Chandimal, FOUR, flat outside off, Chandimal reaches out to this outside off and sweeps hard over backward square leg, earns himself a boundary

116.5 - Devendra Bishoo to Mathews, FOUR, width outside off again, Mathews slaps the cut square of the wicket and earns himself another boundary

116.4 - Devendra Bishoo to Mathews, FOUR, horror full toss in an attempt to bowl full, Mathews swings hard and deposits it over mid-wicket for a one-bounce four

115.0 - Devendra Bishoo to Chandimal, FOUR, when Bishoo bowls it short, Chandimal pounces on it. Rocks back and cuts that through cover with superb timing

113.3 - Samuels to Karunaratne, FOUR, floaty delivery outside off, Karunaratne creams the drive to to the right of mid-off, once it beat the fielder it was always going to be a boundary

105.3 - S Gabriel to Chandimal, FOUR, that's the way to do it! What a talent, what a player! Lokuge Dinesh Chandimal. West Indies dropped him twice and he has made them pay for it. It has been a knock of class and quality. He records his 5th Test ton and he has many more to come in the years to follow. He gets there with a lofted drive over mid-off. Gets across to the other end, gets down on his knees and has his arms aloft as he smiles in delight

104.1 - Devendra Bishoo to Chandimal, FOUR, ah! Those beautiful wrists from Chandimal! Makes it look so easy. He steps down the track, takes it on the full and whips it in the gap between mid-on and mid-wicket

99.1 - S Gabriel to Karunaratne, FOUR, edged and four, fuller length delivery and well outside off, Karunaratne goes hard on the drive, gets a thick edge that flies through the gap between slip and gully, into the fence

98.3 - J Holder to Karunaratne, FOUR, easy pickings for Karunaratne, overpitched and just outside off, Karunaratne gets a big stride forward and drills it past mid-off, races away to the fence in a hurry

97.5 - Roach to Chandimal, FOUR, cracking shot, full and wide from Roach, Chandimal goes down on his knee and square drives it past cover-point, handy boundary for Chandimal, moves into the eighties

96.0 - Roach to Chandimal, FOUR, too straight from Roach, ends up drifting onto Chandimal's pads, clipped away past square leg. The timing is sweet and the ball races away to the fence

94.3 - Jerome Taylor to Karunaratne, FOUR, 150 for Karunaratne, his second 150+ score in Tests, this was pitched up and held its line outside off, Karunaratne leans forward, presents the full face of the bat and drives it to the left of mid-off for a boundary

94.2 - Jerome Taylor to Karunaratne, no ball, FOUR, bouncer from Taylor, it doesn't rise all that much though, tells about the slowness of the pitch, Karunaratne swivels across, rolls his wrists and pulls it over square leg for a boundary. Taylor has overstepped as well

92.1 - Jerome Taylor to Karunaratne, FOUR, Karunaratne gets the first boundary of the day, this was full and nipped back in slightly, Karunaratne was aiming towards mid-off, gets it off the inner half of the bat, gets enough bat to beat mid-on and races away to the fence

90.0 - S Gabriel to Karunaratne, FOUR, what a way to sign off the day! Superb stuff from Karunaratne and he brings up the 250 for Sri Lanka. This was pitched up and in the slot for Karunaratne, he drives it past the non-striker with a touch of class and elegance

89.4 - S Gabriel to Chandimal, FOUR, overpitched with width on offer, Chandimal uses the pace of the ball as he opens the face of the bat and guides it in the gap between gully and backward point. That's easy pickings for Chandimal

81.0 - Roach to Chandimal, FOUR, full and angling in on the pads, Chandimal comes slightly across and flicks it fine, the ball speeds away to the fence in a jiffy

76.0 - S Gabriel to Chandimal, FOUR, short and slightly wide outside off, Chandimal goes on the back foot, rides the bounce and cuts it in the gap between backward point and gully, there was no stopping it from reaching the fence

73.2 - J Holder to Karunaratne, FOUR, brilliant! "Shot of the day," describes my colleague Sidhant. Full and straight, Karunaratne drives down the track with the full face of the bat, once it went past the non-striker it was always going to be a boundary - such was the timing on that. Also, brings up the 100-run stand. 200 up for Sri Lanka as well.

60.3 - Devendra Bishoo to Chandimal, FOUR, first a dropped catch and now a misfield - not a good day for Taylor. This was flatter and on the stumps, Chandimal whips wristily towards mid-on where Taylor allows the ball to go through his legs. That's a lazy effort from the pacer

51.4 - Samuels to Karunaratne, FOUR, the bad ball has been dispatched to the fence. It was short and well wide outside off, Karunaratne rocks back and cuts it to the left of sweeper cover, who runs across but the ball beats him to the fence

48.1 - Devendra Bishoo to Karunaratne, FOUR, Bishoo gives this one more air outside off, Karunaratne comes down the track, plays it with the turn and splits the gap between mid-wicket and mid-on to perfection, runs away to the fence in no time

47.0 - Devendra Bishoo to Chandimal, FOUR, 'catch' was the shout but it's gone for a boundary. Floated up on the stumps, Chandimal comes charging down the track and looks to club it over mid-on, doesn't quite get the elevation but he was lucky that it wasn't very close to Taylor at mid-on, who dives to his left but fails to get a hand on it. Runs away to the fence in a hurry

43.2 - Roach to Karunaratne, FOUR, edged and four! It was just short of a good length and outside off, Karunaratne pushes at it from inside the crease with soft hands, the ball takes the outside edge and runs away in the gap between slip and gully, crashes into the fence in no time

42.4 - Devendra Bishoo to Chandimal, FOUR, lovely shot from Chandimal to get off the mark. This was tossed up just outside off, Chandimal comes on the front foot and creams the drive past a diving cover, no need to run for those

40.1 - Devendra Bishoo to Thirimanne, FOUR, a rank long hop from Bishoo and he pays the price for it. Thirimanne had all the time in the world to rock back and he pulls it to the deep mid-wicket fence to bring Sri Lanka's 100

33.2 - Jerome Taylor to Karunaratne, FOUR, well played Karunaratne! This is his 7th Test fifty and also his 3rd at Galle. Short and ample width on offer, Karunaratne gets on top of the bounce and cuts it square of the wicket, the timing was superb and it raced away

18.4 - Jerome Taylor to Karunaratne, FOUR, edged and four! Another one that's overpitched and well wide outside off, Karunaratne tries to jam out his drive, the ball flies off the toe-end of the bat and runs away in the gap between second slip and gully

15.1 - S Gabriel to Kaushal Silva, FOUR, a freebie from Gabriel. He bowls a full toss slightly wide outside off, Silva reaches out and drives it square of the wicket, he placed it in the gap and it crashes into the fence in no time at all

14.5 - Jerome Taylor to Karunaratne, FOUR, angling in from outside off, Karunaratne comes forward and pushes at it with soft hands, the ball takes the outside half of the bat and rolls away through the gully region, runs away to the fence in no time

13.4 - S Gabriel to Kaushal Silva, leg byes, FOUR, that's pinged him on the helmet! This was banged in short and just outside off, Silva took his eyes off the ball as he looked to duck under it, the ball hits the helmet and runs away to the fine leg fence, given as leg byes as the batsman was taking evasive action

11.1 - S Gabriel to Karunaratne, FOUR, Silva is tentative but not his partner though. Angled across from a fuller length, Karunaratne plays a classic textbook-esque off-drive. Gets it past mid-off and once it beat the fielder it was always going to be a boundary

4.3 - Jerome Taylor to Karunaratne, FOUR, not convincing but Karunaratne won't mind that. Short of a length delivery wide of off, Karunaratne jumps on the back foot and looks to dab with an angled bat. Ball catches the outside edge and dribbles in the vacant region between backward point and gully, Taylor's pace on the ball does the rest

121.4 - Samuels to Mathews, SIX, that's monstrous! Mathews shimmies down the track to get to the pitch of this harmless flat delivery, lofts it over long-on for a gigantic intentful maximum

109.5 - Samuels to Chandimal, SIX, that's the perfect way to answer, isn't it? He skips out and smokes it high and sailing over the mid-wicket fence. Samuels just stares and walks back

68.1 - Devendra Bishoo to Karunaratne, SIX, magnificent, briliant, tremendous. Put whatever adjectives you like. What a way to get to your ton ala Virender Sehwag style. A step down the track and a heave over mid-wicket, Karunaratne takes his helmet off and hugs his partner in delight - Stand and admire stuff from the classy left-hander. Third Test ton for him

67.3 - Samuels to Chandimal, SIX, Chandimal is not holding back! He steps down the track, gets to the pitch of the ball and spanks it with a slog over the deep mid-wicket fence. First six of the day

152.3 - Devendra Bishoo to Pradeep, out Caught by S Gabriel!! Finally after 152.3 overs of hard work, West Indies have managed to bowl out Sri Lanka. This was short and sat up nicely for Pradeep to place that wherever he wanted to. He, instead, rocks back and pulls sans any timing. Ball swirls high in the air and towards deep mid-wicket, Gabriel steadies himself and pouches the ball safely with both hands. Pradeep c S Gabriel b Devendra Bishoo 0(6)

149.4 - S Gabriel to K Perera, out Bowled!! No luck this time though. Gabriel bowls a full delivery outside off, Perera goes very hard at it and this time the inside edge strikes the base of off-stump and Perera hears the death rattle. K Perera b S Gabriel 23(31) [4s-2]

148.5 - Devendra Bishoo to Herath, out Lbw!! Two in two for Bishoo and the short-stature-man can afford a smile - at least now. He bowls a floaty delivery on off, it spun back a little and missed Sri Lanka's premier spinner's sweep. That was an easy decision for the umpire and he has no hesitation in putting his finger up in a flash. Herath didn't even have a conflab with his partner, just turned his back and walked away. Herath lbw b Devendra Bishoo 0(1)

148.4 - Devendra Bishoo to Dhammika, out Caught by J Holder!! If you can't do it, I'll do it myself - That's what Holder might have said to himself after catching that. Lovely drift on this tossed up delivery around off, Prasad went back looking to dab towards third man, ekes out a thick outside edge which nestles in the hands of the lanky Holder at first slip. Dhammika c J Holder b Devendra Bishoo 13(35) [4s-1]

141.1 - J Holder to Mathews, out Caught&Bowled!! And, what better? He's got a wicket first ball and he is all smiles - looks like more of a respite than anything. Greets Mathews with a short of a length delivery first up, it was pacy and rushing to Mathews who was hurried as he tried to work it to the on-side off the back foot, ball catches the leading edge and lobs to the leg-side. Holder ran forward and completed an easy catch. Holder wins the battle of the skippers. Mathews c and b J Holder 48(65) [4s-5 6s-1]

135.2 - Jerome Taylor to Siriwardana, out Caught by Ramdin!! Siriwardana falls! He fails to make the most of this opportunity on his Test debut. Taylor is extremely delighted, two wickets in two overs for him. This was a length delivery outside off, the ball straightens as the angle on the ball draws the batsman forward, who was pushing at it, catches the outside edge and Ramdin takes the easiest of catches. Siriwardana c Ramdin b Jerome Taylor 1(8)

133.4 - Jerome Taylor to Chandimal, out Caught by Blackwood!! Sri Lanka lose their fourth and it's the dangerous Chandimal, who is going back to the hut. After dropping him twice in the innings, West Indies finally manage to hold onto this chance. Nothing but a full delivery outside off, it was right in the slot for the drive as Chandimal goes for it. However, he doesn't bother to keep it down and hits it straight to cover, where Blackwood snaffles it easily. Chandimal c Blackwood b Jerome Taylor 151(298) [4s-16 6s-2]

114.0 - Samuels to Karunaratne, out Caught&Bowled!! Sigh! What a tame end to a brilliant knock! He wanted to record his maiden double ton but unfortunately falls 14 short. Samuels, not even in his wildest dreams, would have expected a wicket off such a delivery. This was short and outside off, Karunaratne is early on the punch, ends up spooning it to the left of the bowler, who accepts it gleefully and flings the ball high and towards the blue sky. Karunaratne c and b Samuels 186(354) [4s-16 6s-1]

41.0 - Devendra Bishoo to Thirimanne, out Caught by (sub)Rajendra Chandrika!! Thirimanne departs while trying to dominate the leggie. It was tossed up and spins back in towards the batsman, who comes down the track and looks to loft it over mid-on. However, he can only drag it off the inside half of the bat, the ball goes uppishly towards mid-wicket, where Chandrika leaps up and first palms the ball in the air with his left hand and then takes it calmly with both hands on the second attempt. Brilliant effort from the substitute fielder. He timed his jump to perfection and that's why he could complete the catch on the second attempt. Thirimanne c (sub)Rajendra Chandrika b Devendra Bishoo 16(62) [4s-1]

18.0 - Roach to Kaushal Silva, out Caught by Ramdin!! Saving that run off the last ball has reaped rewards for the West Indians. Roach is delighted and Silva's woeful stay at the crease comes to an end. It was a full delivery outside off, Silva was playing for the angle in towards him, he pokes at it as the ball shapes away ever so slightly and ends up edging it to the keeper, who throws the ball high up in the air after taking the catch. Kaushal Silva c Ramdin b Roach 17(49) [4s-1]

118.1 - Devendra Bishoo to Mathews, no run, dropped! Tossed up nicely, drifts in, brings the batsman forward with a jab, the ball flies low to the lone slip but is dropped by Holder

99.3 - S Gabriel to Chandimal, 2 runs, another chance and it's been dropped once again, Blackwood is the culprit now. This was short and wide from Gabriel, Chandimal went hard on the cut, didn't bother to keep it down. It flew towards backward point, Blackwood was late to react to the chance, just above his head, it burst through his fingers. He gives chase and keeps them down to a brace, Gabriel looks gutted

50.3 - Devendra Bishoo to Chandimal, 2 runs, another catch goes down! Taylor looks very disappointed with his effort there. It was dragged short and on the stumps, Chandimal goes for the pull and the ball hurried onto him, he ends up top-edging it high in the air. Taylor from mid-on moves back, tries to reverse-cup it but the ball bursts through his hands. Second dropped catch from the West Indians today

37.1 - Jerome Taylor to Thirimanne, 1 run, dropped by Darren Bravo at first slip. Chances don't come easy in Test match cricket and when they do come, you have to make them count. Superb delivery from Jerome Taylor in the channel outside off, Thirimanne drives away from the body and gets a thick outside edge. Ball goes to the left of a diving first slip, who gets both hands to it but can't hold on. Bravo is livid with himself for dropping that one

102.5 - Devendra Bishoo to Karunaratne, 1 run, brings up the 200-run stand with a tuck to square leg

91.3 - Roach to Karunaratne, 2 runs, much better from Karunaratne, gets a big stride forward, presents the full face of the bat and drives it with a straight bat, beats mid-off and comes back for the second run

86.0 - Jerome Taylor to Karunaratne, 1 run, run-out chance missed! Unnecessary risk towards the end of day's play and it could have been curtains for Karunaratne. He gently nudges this back of a length delivery on middle stump line in front of mid-wicket and sets off, the fielder quickly picks the ball up and underarms the throw at the non-striker's end, a direct-hit and Karunaratne would have been a goner by a mile. Luckily for him and Sri Lanka, he misses and Karunaratne gets in

74.1 - Devendra Bishoo to Chandimal, 1 run, Chandimal gets to his 9th Test fifty. It was a flatter delivery outside off, Chandimal punches it to the left of cover and the batsmen hurry across for a quick single

57.0 - Devendra Bishoo to Karunaratne, no run, this was spinning in from a good length, Karunaratne comes down the track, he wasn't upto the pitch of the ball as it bounces extra, catches his pad and lobs up for the keeper. Holder though decided to review it but the onfield decision was upheld and West Indies lose a review

80.2 - Dhammika to Devendra Bishoo, FOUR, edged and four! This was angling away outside off, Bishoo looks to force it off the back foot, the ball takes the outside edge and runs away in the gap between second slip and gully, crashes into the fence in no time

74.2 - Kaushal to Devendra Bishoo, FOUR, Kaushal is back to what he has been doing for the most part of the day - offering full tosses that is. Bishoo sinks low and helps it with a sweep through short fine leg

72.0 - Herath to Devendra Bishoo, FOUR, the Sri Lankan skipper is caught napping again. This was drifted just outside off, Bishoo poked awkwardly with no feet, thick outside edge flies to the right of Mathews

71.2 - Herath to Devendra Bishoo, FOUR, Bishoo is diminutive, but he can hit the ball a long way! Takes toll of this full delivery as he drives it wide of mid-off, beating the dive from the fielder to his left

67.4 - Herath to Roach, FOUR, down leg, Roach gets down on one knee and sweeps it square on the leg-side, placed it over square leg and it's an easy boundary

67.0 - Kaushal to Jerome Taylor, FOUR, this is getting bad to worse for Kaushal. He bowls a low full toss outside off, Taylor makes room and lofts it over mid-off. Couple of bounces and into the fence

66.1 - Kaushal to Jerome Taylor, FOUR, Kaushal is having a nightmare with the ball. This is yet another hit-me sort of delivery. Short and going down leg, Taylor jumps on the back foot and pulls it hard behind square on the leg-side

59.3 - Herath to Jerome Taylor, FOUR, gives this one more air on off, Taylor gives himself room and looks to loft it over mid-off, doesn't get the desired connection but just about managed to get it over the fielder placed there. The ball runs away to the fence

59.1 - Herath to Jerome Taylor, FOUR, tossed up nicely by Herath, Taylor comes forward and just lofts it straight over the bowler's head

54.3 - Dhammika to J Holder, FOUR, stubborn Holder. Another full length delivery, Holder plays it on the up and drives it square, much more in control this time though. It wasn't far away from backward point yet again

54.2 - Dhammika to J Holder, FOUR, just wide of point! This was pitched up by Dhammika, the customary follow-up after the barrage, Holder didn't use his feet as he went into this square drive and ended up playing it uppishly, picks up a boundary though

50.5 - Dhammika to J Holder, FOUR, short ball and Holder are best of friends today. Bouncer again, Holder hooks with all intent but less of technique, gets it off the toe-end which lobs to fine leg but bounces just wide of him and the fielder running in from deep square leg

50.1 - Dhammika to J Holder, FOUR, length delivery outside off, Holder leans forward and drives it on the up, creams it to the sweeper cover fence for a soothing boundary

50.0 - Herath to Ramdin, FOUR, ruins the over with this long hop, Ramdin rocks back and pulls it all along the carpet to the deep mid-wicket fence

48.1 - Dhammika to Ramdin, FOUR, shortish down the leg-side, Ramdin swivels and pulls it behind square on the on-side for a boundary to start the session

43.4 - Siriwardana to Ramdin, FOUR, half tracker and it has been dealt with. Ramdin had all the time in the world to pick his spot, rocks back and pulls it in front of square on the leg-side, pinged to the deep mid-wicket fence

41.2 - Siriwardana to Ramdin, FOUR, first runs off Siriwardana. Flighted and width on offer, Ramdin smashes it straight back over the bowler's head, he has been trying to take him on and finally manages to do so

41.0 - Pradeep to Darren Bravo, FOUR, Bravo showing his range. Even this was played with an open bat face, but it was hit behind point, drives it to the right of backward point and inches closer to his fifty

40.5 - Pradeep to Darren Bravo, FOUR, lovely shot! Overpitched outside off, Bravo leans forward, opens the bat face and drives it square on the off-side, the timing was sweet as the ball raced away to the fence

35.4 - Kaushal to Darren Bravo, FOUR, poor ball from Kaushal, drops it short and just outside off, Bravo rocks back and pulls it over mid-wicket for a boundary

33.0 - Dhammika to Blackwood, FOUR, cracking shot, width on offer from Dhammika, Blackwood leans forward, drives it on the up and finds the gap past cover. The timing is sweet and the ball races away to the fence

28.4 - Pradeep to Darren Bravo, FOUR, edged and four, plenty of action here, Pradeep came from round the wicket and angled one back into Bravo, he was caught in his crease as he pushed forward, the ball straightened a tad and found the outside edge, drops well in front of Mathews at 1st slip, he gets a bad bounce as well and allows the ball to race away to the fence

26.5 - Pradeep to Darren Bravo, FOUR, fuller length delivery and shaping away from outside off, Bravo plays with an open face and slices the drive behind square on the off-side. It was in the air for a while, but went well wide of the fielder

24.2 - Pradeep to Darren Bravo, FOUR, edged and four, on a good length and in that channel outside off, Bravo pushes forward from the crease, gets a thick edge that races away past the second slip fielder, Bravo is off and running with a boundary

16.2 - Kaushal to Darren Bravo, FOUR, half-tracker on the stumps, Bravo jumps back and takes full toll of it - pulling it through mid-wicket with superb timing

14.1 - Kaushal to Darren Bravo, FOUR, bowls it slightly short and gets good bounce outside off, Bravo rocks back and cuts it late behind point, no need to run for those

11.0 - Pradeep to Shai Hope, FOUR, back of a length delivery with ample width on offer. Hope stays on the back foot and times the punch to perfection, placed it through cover and the timing did the rest

5.5 - Herath to Kraigg Brathwaite, FOUR, tossed up delivery outside off, Brathwaite drives this nicely off the front foot, the ball creams the turf on its way to the deep extra-cover fence

4.3 - Dhammika to Kraigg Brathwaite, FOUR, risky but effective! This was straight on the stumps, Brathwaite clips it nicely off the pads to send this to the fine leg fence. Would have been plumb in front had he missed it

3.4 - Pradeep to Shai Hope, FOUR, bold shot! Short delivery that sat up nicely, Hope decides to take on the new ball with a pull shot and sends it to deep mid-wicket

2.0 - Pradeep to Kraigg Brathwaite, FOUR, is this an ODI? Pitched up by Pradeep, some movement away but Brathwaite leans forward nicely to carress the drive through cover

1.4 - Pradeep to Kraigg Brathwaite, FOUR, another good shot this time. Fullish in length, Brathwaite just punched it through mid-off and the Galle outfield obliges

1.1 - Pradeep to Shai Hope, FOUR, fullish from him first up, Hope leans forward and creams a drive through mid-off to get off the mark in style

65.0 - Kaushal to Jerome Taylor, SIX, Taylor is not hanging back! He smacks this tossed up delivery high and over the long-on fence

35.5 - Kaushal to Darren Bravo, SIX, poor first over from Kaushal, another rank long hop outside off, Bravo rocks back and pulls it flat and over the mid-wicket fence for his first maximum

82.0 - Herath to S Gabriel, out Bowled!! That's a shot you can only expect from a number 11 batsman. West Indies have been bowled out for 251. This came back with the angle as Gabriel tries to hoick it out of the park, it was bowled slower through the air and Gabriel was almost through with the shot by the time the ball came, he completely misses it and the ball crashes into the stumps. S Gabriel b Herath 0(1)

81.5 - Herath to Roach, out Stumped!! 23rd 5-wicket haul for Herath, his first against the West Indies! Coming to the ball, it drifted towards the stumps before spinning away, Roach comes forward to smother the spin and drags his foot outside as well. The ball spins away, beats Roach's outside edge and the keeper takes the bails off in a flash. Roach tried to get back inside the crease, but his foot was on the line when the stumps were disturbed. West Indies lose their ninth wicket. Roach st K Perera b Herath 22(80) [4s-1]

68.2 - Kaushal to Jerome Taylor, out Caught by Mathews!! Wow! That's a rarity - yes it is! The way Kaushal bowled today gave an impression that he was bowling just for the sake of it. He looked completely out-of-sorts so far and finally some respite for him as he now has a wicket against his name. This was floated up around off, Taylor goes hard on the drive with his feet stuck in blob. He gets a thick outside edge (low off the bat) - nearly a toe-end I can say. Mathews at first slip takes a regulation catch. Jerome Taylor c Mathews b Kaushal 31(31) [4s-4 6s-1]

58.1 - Pradeep to Ramdin, out Caught by K Perera!! And another one perishes to a poor shot. This was bowled on short of length outside off , Ramdin slashes at it with no feet whatsoever, the ball bounces just a touch more to take the top-edge to the keeper. All too easy for Sri Lanka at Galle. Ramdin c K Perera b Pradeep 23(66) [4s-4]

54.4 - Dhammika to J Holder, out Caught by K Perera!! And he perishes to a sucker delivery outside off, in that lovely corridor of uncertainty and bowled on a length, Holder forgot about the footwork and jabbed at it, outside edge flew low to the keeper who holds on to it. WI sink lower. J Holder c K Perera b Dhammika 19(28) [4s-4]

45.2 - Herath to Darren Bravo, out Caught by Chandimal!! Stunner! That is a terrific catch from Chandimal. He gets back on his feet and lets out a roar. All the hard work from Bravo has been undone. Floated up outside off, Bravo goes for the booming drive, ends up dragging it to the on-side off the inside part of the bat, Chandimal at short mid-wicket flies to his right, plucks it with one-hand while still in the air. Darren Bravo c Chandimal b Herath 50(107) [4s-8 6s-1]

36.2 - Dhammika to Blackwood, out Caught by Siriwardana!! How many times have we seen a wicket fall right after drinks? It was surely a lapse in concentration for Blackwood. He waits as the umpire checks for a no-ball, Dhammika has some part behind the line and Blackwood trudges off. A short of length delivery that shapes away a touch outside off, Blackwood looked to force it off the back foot, the outside edge flies to widish first slip, Siriwardana almost messed it up, he juggles for a couple of times before gobbling it up. Blackwood c Siriwardana b Dhammika 11(37) [4s-1]

24.0 - Herath to Samuels, out Bowled!! Unlucky for Samuels, but Herath has his third wicket! It was a rank long-hop, short and angling well down the leg-side, Samuels rocked back on the pull, is done in by the pace, the ball hits the inside part of his front thigh and goes back to clip the leg-stump. Samuels surveys the damage behind him and walks off. Early strike by Sri Lanka and the best player of spin in the Windies camp has perished early. Samuels b Herath 11(28) [4s-2]

15.1 - Herath to Shai Hope, out Bowled!! That's Rangana for you! Pitched around middle and taking Hope's off-stump (hit on the top of off). A dream delivery for any spinner. Hope was well forward looking to block, beaten by the turn and dip - In fact he was outfoxed by Herath's stock ball. Shai Hope b Herath 23(49) [4s-3]

7.3 - Herath to Kraigg Brathwaite, out Lbw!! That was plumb in front. The famous Herath arm-ball, Brathwaite didn't read this and the ball rapped him dead straight on the back pad as he tried to defend off the front foot. He played for turn but the ball came in with the angle from round the wicket to send him back. Impact was on off stump and it was easily crashing into middle. Instant appeal and an instant decision from the umpire. First blood for Sri Lanka. Kraigg Brathwaite lbw b Herath 19(24) [4s-4]

80.0 - Siriwardana to Devendra Bishoo, 1 run, drags his length back and bowls it slightly wide outside off, Bishoo cuts it to sweeper cover and he will keep the strike

70.0 - Herath to Roach, no run, this was drifted in on middle, Roach opts to defend it off the front foot. He misses and gets hit low on the pad, SL go up for an appeal and the umpire doesn't like it. Mathews went up for the review but it proved to be in vain

49.0 - Dhammika to J Holder, no run, so an instance of DRS actually proving helpful. Holder had gone up straightaway for the review. This was a bumper outside off from Dhammika, Holder was hurried into a pull, was hit on the shoulder and the ball lobbed to gully, instant appeal and was given out instantly

43.2 - Siriwardana to Darren Bravo, 1 run, 12th Test fifty for Bravo. It is also his 4th against Sri Lanka. He has stood firm for the visitors. Shortens the length on off, Bravo goes back and wrists it to long-on

23.1 - Herath to Samuels, no run, that was close! This was the arm-ball from Herath, slid back with the angle, Samuels made room for the cut, the ball brushed the pad before Samuels could cut it towards backward point. Scary for Samuels, but he survives. The ball struck him marginally outside off and was going to clip the outside of off-stump

67.2 - Herath to S Gabriel, FOUR, Gabriel gorges on some flight as he slogs across the line and helps the ball to the deep mid-wicket fence. Runs coming in and looks like SL will have to bat again

67.0 - Pradeep to Blackwood, FOUR, cheeky! Short ball outside off, Blackwood puts his gray cells to use as he periscopes it over the slip cordon to the third man fence, third man seemingly let it go to keep Gabriel on strike

66.0 - Herath to Blackwood, FOUR, slower through the air on middle, Blackwood backs away to make room and cuts it to deep extra-cover for yet another boundary

63.5 - Herath to Blackwood, FOUR, excellent shot again and the match situation has allowed Blackwood to play freely. He shimmies down the track and lofts this deliciously flighted delivery back over the bowler head, no chance for anyone to stop that

63.3 - Herath to Blackwood, FOUR, lots of air on this one, Blackwood uses his feet but doesn't get too close to the pitch, heaves it straight over the bowler's head and the ball races to long-on

62.3 - Dhammika to Jerome Taylor, FOUR, oh, a top-edge now! Short delivery again, Taylor is late on the pull and ekes out a top-edge that flew behind to the fine leg fence

60.4 - Dhammika to Roach, FOUR, length delivery outside off, Roach times this back foot punch well enough to beat the dive at sweeper cover, Dhammika not amused

46.5 - Kaushal to Blackwood, FOUR, Blackwood is getting better with every ball. This time he uses his feet to meet the pitch of this tossed up delivery, goes for the inside out loft and times it superbly. Once it cleared the infield it was always going to be a boundary

42.4 - Kaushal to Blackwood, FOUR, Kaushal, just like yesterday, is struggling with his line and length here. Dropped it short again, Blackwood allows the ball to turn and whips it away behind square on the leg-side

42.3 - Kaushal to Blackwood, FOUR, slower and short, Blackwood jumps on the back foot and puts it away with a fierce pull through mid-wicket

41.5 - Siriwardana to Ramdin, FOUR, two in two for Ramdin. This time another dolly from Siriwardana - full toss it is. Ramdin lunges forward and slaps the drive through cover, the timing was superb and it raced away

37.0 - Pradeep to Blackwood, FOUR, pitched up outside off, Blackwood leans forward and caresses it through extra cover, it came right off the meat and burst through the hands of Silva at short cover

34.0 - Herath to Darren Bravo, FOUR, a rare poor delivery from Herath, it was short and there was plenty of width, Bravo goes back and cracks it in front of square on the off-side. He had ample time to pick his spot

32.5 - Pradeep to Darren Bravo, FOUR, pitched up outside off, it was there for Bravo to drive, he goes for it and the ball takes the outside part of the bat, bisects the two fielders behind point and races away to the fence

31.4 - Herath to Blackwood, FOUR, tossed up just outside off, Blackwood drives it towards mid-off, just wide of the diving fielder and gets going with a boundary

19.1 - Siriwardana to Darren Bravo, SIX, that's Brian Lara-esque! Bowled flat outside off, Bravo swings across the line to help the ball over long-on. Nostalgic maximum that!

18.0 - Siriwardana to Darren Bravo, SIX, good shot and Bravo shows his streak of brilliance with a straight loft down the ground! This was slower through the air again, Bravo just skips down and swings through the line to deposit it over long-off

68.3 - Dhammika to Blackwood, out Caught by Kaushal Silva!! Innings win for the hosts and the Galle Fort isn't breached! This was a back of a length delivery outside off, Blackwood uses hit feet to loft the ball but the bat turned in his hands, ends up slicing it, deep extra-cover runs forward to take the catch. Blackwood c Kaushal Silva b Dhammika 92(135) [4s-10 6s-3]

62.4 - Dhammika to Jerome Taylor, out Lbw!! Ah, SL are just one wicket away! The age-old ploy of pitching it up after a bumper. Taylor was back in his crease after that short ball, this fuller length delivery reverses back in a touch to catch him dead plumb in front, no hesitation from the umpire. Rightly so because it was hitting the middle pole. Jerome Taylor lbw b Dhammika 5(4) [4s-1]

61.2 - Herath to Roach, out Stumped!! Smartly done by Herath! This was tossed up by Herath, Roach tries to drive off the front foot, but is beaten by the turn. Ultimately he fails to drag his back foot inside the line and the keepr takes the bails off in a flash. He is given out after the on-field umpire's review. With this, Herath picks up his 5th 10-wicket haul, his third at Galle. And this is the second time Herath has got Roach stumped in the match. Roach st K Perera b Herath 5(6) [4s-1]

60.0 - Herath to J Holder, out J Holder Run Out!! This is a shocker and Blackwood isn't pleased at the other end! This was the straighter delivery from Herath, much like the last one, Holder comes out of the crease, misses the flick, and the ball rolls off the front pad to first slip, Holder cannot get back in time even with a dive as Mathews fires the throw onto the stumps. The square leg umpire didn't even bother to go upstairs. J Holder run out (Mathews) 18(26) [6s-1]

47.1 - Siriwardana to Ramdin, out Caught by Kaushal Silva!! Siriwardana is all smiles and he has every reason to be so. He now has dismissed the most experienced West Indian batsman in this line up. Floaty delivery luring Ramdin to drive, the batsman does so with laden feet. Ball takes the thick outside edge and nestles into the safe hands of the diminutive Kaushal Silva at second slip. It went quickly but Silva was up to the task. Ramdin c Kaushal Silva b Siriwardana 11(31) [4s-2]

35.0 - Pradeep to Darren Bravo, out Caught by K Perera!! That is a big wicket. A master move from Mathews, who opted to go with Pradeep even as Dhammika was ready to bowl. Sri Lanka inch closer to the victory line. It was a terrific delivery, on a length and in the corridor of uncertainty, Bravo had to play at that as the angle didn't allow him another option, the outside edge settles nicely in Perera's mitts. Darren Bravo c K Perera b Pradeep 31(66) [4s-2 6s-2]

31.2 - Herath to Samuels, out Lbw!! That is a poor use of DRS. Not sure why he even thought about the review. The arm-ball from Herath, goes on with the angle from round the wicket, Samuels misjudges it or maybe he didn't pick, doesn't offer a shot and is struck in front of off-stump. That looked dead as soon as the ball hit the back pad. Hawk-Eye confirmed it would have thudded into off and middle-stump. Samuels has wasted a review as well and West Indies have no more reviews. Samuels lbw b Herath 0(1)

31.1 - Herath to Devendra Bishoo, out Caught by Mathews!! Sri Lanka's catching in this match has been outstanding. Mathews pulls off a blinder at slip. Herath once again provides the first breakthrough of the day. It was short and outside off, Bishoo flashes the cut and the outside edge flies to the left of Mathews, who goes with both hands, but the ball gets stuck in his left hand. The nightwatchman has been sent back early. Devendra Bishoo c Mathews b Herath 10(25) [4s-1]

23.3 - Herath to Kraigg Brathwaite, out Lbw!! Brathwaite is completely foxed by the arm-ball here. The ball drifts in and arrows back in after pitching, Brathwaite was playing for some turn and misses it completely, he is rapped on the pads, it looked plumb and the umpire raises his finger almost as soon as the bowler turned back for appeal. Kraigg Brathwaite lbw b Herath 34(75) [4s-3]

10.0 - Siriwardana to Shai Hope, out Bowled!! Siriwardana gets his first Test wicket! This was shortish, Hope was looking to force it off the back foot into the on-side, gets an inside edge that makes a mess of the stumps behind. SL are 9 wickets away from the win. Shai Hope b Siriwardana 6(32)

49.4 - Siriwardana to Blackwood, no run, dropped? This was a well flighted delivery that draws Blackwood to drive off the front foot, he takes the bait and goes for it, replays suggest that the ball might have missed the edge and the bat hit the ground. Perera was late to react and he fails to glove it, the ball deflects to Silva at second slip, who couldn't latch on diving to his left

65.4 - Herath to Blackwood, no run, bowled down the leg-side, Blackwood sweeps but the ball takes the front-pad on the way behind, first slip takes the catch, Sri Lanka appealed for caught-behind assuming that the ball hit the back of the bat in the followthrough, but there was no wood involved

55.4 - Herath to Blackwood, 1 run, 6th Test fifty for Blackwood! This was flat on the middle and leg, Blackwood turns this to deep square leg to get to the milestone

25.2 - Herath to Darren Bravo, no run, turning in from outside off, Bravo turns it to mid-on off the back foot
