50.0 - Anwar Ali to James Taylor, FOUR, full toss, swung away hard and Taylor gets a handy boundary for England. This is the only boundary the visitors have managed to score in the last 23 balls. Tells you how well Pakistan have bowled at the death. Anwar Ali misses the yorker this time and bowls a full toss down the leg-side, Taylor smashes it through backward square leg for four

46.1 - Irfan to Buttler, FOUR, full and in the slot, baaaang, Buttler goes over wide mid-off with his lofted drive and gets a much needed boundary for the visitors

45.0 - Irfan to Eoin Morgan, FOUR, full toss, hit in the air, no one at deep mid-wicket and it's a boundary. Morgan slogs, doesn't get hold of it, luckily for him there was no one in the deep

39.1 - Anwar Ali to Root, FOUR, brave hit and Root gets to his 10th ODI fifty in style. Length delivery on the off stump, with fine leg inside the ring, Root gets down on his knees and scoops it over the man at 45 for four. A gentle raise of the bat from Root to acknowledge all the applause

38.2 - Iftikhar Ahmed to Root, FOUR, shortish in length again, Root makes room and slices the punch with an angled bat, splits backward point and short third man to perfection. Root is nearing his fifty

34.0 - Yasir Shah to Root, FOUR, innovative this! This was a controlled delicate clobber from Root. Yasir has bowled it slow, Root waits and gets it to the long-on fence, one bounce over the ropes

24.5 - Shoaib Malik to Hales, FOUR, a tad short but good enough for Hales who rocks back and pulls it uppishly over mid-wicket for a handsome boundary after quite a few overs

16.3 - Shoaib Malik to Hales, FOUR, shorter in length from Shoaib Malik, Hales uses the depth of the crease and cuts it hard to deep extra cover. No need to run for those

16.1 - Shoaib Malik to Hales, FOUR, Hales picks this delivery that is bowled on middle and leg line and sweeps it hard towards the deep backward leg fence for a boundary

15.5 - Riaz to Jason Roy, FOUR, Roy brings up his 50 in style. Riaz again tests the middle of the pitch, Roy though, pulls it hard in front of square on the on-side. It scurried to the mid-wicket fence in a flash

15.2 - Riaz to Jason Roy, FOUR, Roy shows poise and balance by riding on the bounce and punching this delivery that is bowled outside off all along the carpet to the extra cover fence

14.3 - Shoaib Malik to Jason Roy, FOUR, Roy advances, takes this delivery on the half-volley and lifts it cleanly over the fielder at mid-off for a boundary. Lovely use of feet by the Surrey dasher

12.4 - Shoaib Malik to Jason Roy, FOUR, Roy takes this one from middle and leg-stump line and sweeps it hard to backward square leg fence for a boundary

10.0 - Yasir Shah to Hales, FOUR, Hales twins timing and placement by driving this tossed up delivery on the up. It runs away to the deep extra cover fence for a boundary

9.4 - Yasir Shah to Hales, FOUR, flighted delivery on the stumps, Hales sweeps it past the diving fielder at short fine. Irfan was late to dive and that meant it ran away to the boundary boards

8.1 - Riaz to Hales, FOUR, fuller length delivery and just outside off, Hales looks to drive, but he is rooted to the crease. In the end, Hales gets a thick outside edge past the diving fielder at first slip. It runs away to the third man fence

7.3 - Yasir Shah to Jason Roy, FOUR, Roy, this time, shows good improvisation as he brings out the switch-hit to this leg-break. He generates enough power to get it over the infield on the off-side for a boundary

5.4 - Anwar Ali to Jason Roy, FOUR, Roy ventures out of the crease and lofts this slower one over the fielder at mid-on for a sparkling boundary

4.1 - Irfan to Hales, FOUR, Irfan tests the middle of the pitch, Hales shows his ability to rock back and essay the pull stroke. It rockets to the deep mid-wicket fence

1.2 - Anwar Ali to Jason Roy, FOUR, well, Roy shows that this is a good pitch to bat on. He takes this good length delivery from the off-stump and flicks it through the mid-wicket region for a boundary

0.5 - Irfan to Jason Roy, FOUR, a bit of width on offer from Irfan, Roy brings out the cut shot. He bisects the gap between point and backward point to perfection and it runs away to the boundary boards

41.2 - Yasir Shah to Eoin Morgan, SIX, in the airrrrr, lot of height on this and it clears the rope. Flighted delivery on the stumps, Morgan advances, doesn't get to the pitch of the ball, yet goes through with the slog and clears the deep mid-wicket boundary

38.4 - Iftikhar Ahmed to Hales, SIX, down the track. Has he timed that well? Yes, he has! Flighted delivery from Iftikhar Ahmed, Hales races down the pitch, gets closer to the pitch of the ball and muscles the loft over the long-on boundary

29.5 - Yasir Shah to Hales, SIX, easy peasy for Hales! This was given some air, Hales shimmies down the track, doesn't get to the pitch and ends up chipping it over the bowler's head. The amount of wood on the bat ensures that the ball flies straight and over the fence

29.1 - Yasir Shah to Hales, SIX, welcome back Yasir! Flighted on middle, Hales plonks his front foot and slog-sweeps, good connection and the ball sails over the deep mid-wicket fence

48.5 - Irfan to Eoin Morgan, out Caught by Babar Azam!! In the air and taken. This is a great comeback by Pakistan. They have got a big wicket. Slower delivery on the stumps, Morgan advances and slogs, doesn't get hold of it and deep mid-wicket takes a simple catch. Eoin Morgan c Babar Azam b Irfan 29(29) [4s-1 6s-1]

47.5 - Riaz to Buttler, out Bowled!! Wicket number three for Riaz and he deserves it. He's bowled exceptionally well. Good slower delivery, shows that he is not a one dimensional bowler. It was slightly down the leg-side, Buttler didn't read it from the hand and was ready for the slog, but the ball came slowly onto him, he tried to flick in the end, but the ball ricocheted onto the stumps off the back pad. Buttler b Riaz 11(10) [4s-1]

45.2 - Riaz to Root, out Bowled!! Knocked him over. Good slower delivery from Riaz and he gets the set batsman out. Root clears his front leg out of the way and slogs, plays way too early and the ball crashes into the top of leg stump. Second wicket for Riaz and he pumps his fist in joy. End of a handy knock from England's No. 3. Root b Riaz 63(77) [4s-3]

38.5 - Iftikhar Ahmed to Hales, out Stumped!! Excellent work from Sarfraz. The ball kept very low and he did well to stay low and give Iftikhar Ahmed his maiden ODI wicket. Hales walks off to a standing ovation. Flighted delivery outside off stump, Hales gets down on one knee to sweep, but the low bounce meant the ball sneaked under the bat. Hales' back foot was outside the crease and the keeper was quick to whip the bails off. He pointed to the square leg umpire that Hales' foot was not inside the crease and he was right. Hales himself knew he was out and didn't wait for the word from the third umpire. Hales st Sarfraz Ahmed b Iftikhar Ahmed 109(117) [4s-7 6s-3]

17.3 - Riaz to Jason Roy, out Caught by Shoaib Malik!! Finally, Riaz makes the first incision for the hosts. Riaz rolled his fingers across that delivery and it turned out to be a slower one. Roy though, picked that slower one and lofted it towards the fielder at mid-on, who moved to his left and took a rather easy catch. Pakistan needed that wicket as the able duo from England were unfurling a series of superlative shots. On the other hand, Roy timed it too well and that didn't help his cause. Jason Roy c Shoaib Malik b Riaz 54(57) [4s-8]

32.5 - Iftikhar Ahmed to Root, 1 run, Wahab drops a catch! Root plays the reverse paddle to this flatter one on middle, Riaz was waiting at backward point, was late to react with a dive to his right, the ball brushed his hands and ricocheted away. Will that be costly?

29.2 - Yasir Shah to Hales, 1 run, was that a drop? Legbreak from Yasir, Hales was looking to pull it but the turn away took it wider, the under-edge runs through keeper's gloves and dribbles to short third man

47.3 - Riaz to Buttler, 1 run, slower delivery on the leg stump, Buttler works it towards the bowler, Morgan was halfway down the pitch for a quick single, Buttler stopped as the bowler dived to grabbed the ball, Buttler then responds for the run, Riaz takes aim at the bowler's end but misses the sticks again. The fielder at mid-off backs up. In fact, Morgan was trying to get back, but on seeing the fielder have a shy at the striker's end he hurries to the other end

43.4 - Riaz to Root, no run, Morgan escapes another run-out. Fullish and outside off stump, Root drives it to mid-off, Eoin Morgan sets off for a run, but the striker sends him back, the fielder has a shy but is off target with the throw. Morgan was not even in the picture. He manages a smile though. Luck is favouring him

43.3 - Riaz to Eoin Morgan, 1 run, a direct-hit would have been curtains for Morgan. Inswinging yorker, dug out to the right of the bowler, Riaz jumps in his followthrough and grabs the ball, Morgan was halfway down the pitch looking for a run, but Root sends him back, Riaz aims for the sticks at the striker's end, but misses. Eventually, the overthrow gives Morgan a run

37.4 - Riaz to Hales, 1 run, slower delivery outside off stump, Hales guides it to the right of backward point. That single raises the hundred partnership as well

37.0 - Iftikhar Ahmed to Hales, 2 runs, maiden ODI hundred for Hales. He's elated, takes the helmet off and raises the bat to the crowd and the dressing room. Captain Eoin Morgan stands and applauds with a big smile on his face. Flighted delivery down the leg-side, Hales sweeps it to short fine leg, the fielder fumbles, Anwar Ali slides at fine leg and saves a couple. Meanwhile, 200 comes up for the visitors

30.2 - Iftikhar Ahmed to Root, leg byes, 1 run, this was fuller in length, Root went for the sweep and missed, the ball hit him on the pads and rolled square of the wicket on the leg-side. Since the ball pitched outside leg, it was given NOT OUT

20.3 - Shoaib Malik to Hales, 1 run, fifty for Hales! Well played at a strike rate of 87. Coming to the delivery, this was given some air, Hales came forward with a clip to square leg and hared across. He responds to the milestone with a raised bat and a relieving smile

19.2 - Riaz to Hales, no run, short of length delivery, pacy, Hales was into the pull late and the ball flicked the trouser on it's way behind, slow finger of death from the umpire but an instantaneous review saved Hales there. The keeper was confident and so was the bowler and the umpire did take his time to raise his finger

17.0 - Shoaib Malik to Jason Roy, 1 run, Roy brings up the century stand by driving this delivery that is pushed through the air to long-on. Roy leisurely takes a single

43.5 - Topley to Yasir Shah, FOUR, that was easy! Full toss dished out on a platter, Yasir obliges and flays it uppishly to the deep extra cover fence

41.2 - Willey to Sarfraz Ahmed, FOUR, okay, Sarfraz is teeing off now, perhaps. This was on the pads, Sarfraz clips it and the ball beats a dive at deep mid-wicket on its way to the fence

34.3 - Moeen Ali to Sarfraz Ahmed, byes, FOUR, Sarfraz looks to bring out the sweep to this flatter delivery and fails to connect. However, it stays low and the keeper too is not able to collect the ball. It runs away for four byes

34.2 - Moeen Ali to Sarfraz Ahmed, FOUR, Sarfraz advances and gets close to the pitch of this quicker delivery. In the end, he lofts it to the long-on fence for a boundary

31.0 - Moeen Ali to Anwar Ali, FOUR, this one turns back sharply from outside off, Sarfraz aims to cut, gets an inside edge that runs away to deep square leg fence. The keeper didn't have much of a chance to pouch that catch as it went past him at the speed of knots

29.0 - Moeen Ali to Sarfraz Ahmed, FOUR, Sarfraz brings out the slog sweep and it runs away to deep backward square leg fence

20.3 - Woakes to Rizwan, FOUR, Woakes bends his back and tests the middle of the pitch, Rizwan rocks back and pulls it hard to the deep backward square leg fence. He beat two fielders in the deep there

10.4 - Woakes to Azhar Ali, FOUR, some respite, thanks to a failed dive at mid-on. This was veering into the pads, Azhar clips it stylishly and the ball beat the dive and rocketed into the ad-cushions on the fence

8.0 - Topley to Iftikhar Ahmed, FOUR, good comes to those who wait, isn't it? This was the dangler pitched full outside off, Iftikhar leans forward and plays the square drive to perfection. Gets off the mark, finally

45.1 - Topley to Yasir Shah, SIX, that was monstrous and the only time he struggled was when he had to punch his gloves with Irfan. Slower delivery from the bowler, Yasir reads it and clobbers it with all his might, connects and the ball flies over the deep mid-wicket fence.

38.3 - Moeen Ali to Anwar Ali, SIX, flighted on middle, Ali skips down and muscles the heave over mid-wicket for a maximum. The ball just cleared the rope

45.5 - Topley to Irfan, out Bowled!! That's it. Curtains. England win by 95 runs. Topley bowls the deadly delivery, not all that pacy but too much for Irfan to do - stoop low and dig it out. The stumps are shattered and hugs in the England camp to celebrate that clatter. Irfan b Topley 0(2)

45.0 - Woakes to Sarfraz Ahmed, out Caught by Buttler!! One wicket to go for England. Sarfraz tried but too much was left for him to do. Woakes had rolled his wrists on this one, the ball held up and arrowed back in, Sarfraz was looking to guide and ended up being cramped for room, feathers an edge behind to the keeper. Sarfraz Ahmed c Buttler b Woakes 64(76) [4s-3]

41.4 - Willey to Riaz, out Caught by Buttler!! Similar short ball is handled poorly by Riaz but you can expect that from a lower order batsman. This was slower delivery halfway down the pitch, Riaz gets forward to pull, manages to lay bat to ball in an awkward position, gets a top-edge that lobs up and keeper runs to his right to grab that. Riaz c Buttler b Willey 5(8)

38.5 - Moeen Ali to Anwar Ali, out Caught by Woakes!! And the short show is over. This one was a friendly full toss from the bowler, Anwar has a little shimmy down the track and heaves it across the line, ends up hitting it straight down the throat of long-on. Is the end nigh? Anwar Ali c Woakes b Moeen Ali 23(34) [4s-1 6s-1]

27.4 - Adil Rashid to Rizwan, out Bowled!! Adil Rashid shows his class by chugging down Rizwan. The middle-order batsman was certainly not picking Rashid's box of tricks. This was a straighter one from the Yorkshireman, Rizwan looked to bring out the cut. However, he could only get an inside edge back onto the middle-stump. It was an ugly looking cut shot from the right-hander. Rizwan b Adil Rashid 17(37) [4s-1]

18.2 - Woakes to Azhar Ali, out Bowled!! The home team are in dire straits now. Woakes brings out the off-cutter from his armour, Ali looks to essay the cut shot. However, he had to reach out to play that stroke. In the end, he dragged it back onto the off-stump. It has been a disciplined effort from the English pacers today. They have certainly bowled with unremitting control. Azhar Ali b Woakes 22(45) [4s-1]

17.0 - Woakes to Shoaib Malik, out Caught by James Taylor!! Boy, oh boy! Another short ball that gobbles up another Pakistani batsman! Sticking to the apparent plan, Woakes banged it down half-way, the ball may have held up in the slow pitch, Malik ends up playing the pull uppishly and the mistimed shot is intercepted by an easy catch at mid-wicket. Shoaib Malik c James Taylor b Woakes 13(25)

11.0 - Woakes to Iftikhar Ahmed, out Caught by Willey!! It's all falling apart for Pakistan. Woakes bowled a short one this time, Iftikhar was late onto the pull, the ball hit the splice of the bat and lobbed up to mid-on where Willey moved to his right and his dive snaffled the ball two-handed and inches above the ground. Iftikhar, on debut, falls short. Iftikhar Ahmed c Willey b Woakes 5(21) [4s-1]

4.4 - Willey to Hafeez, out Caught by Buttler!! And another one goes down and the in-form Hafeez, who scored a century in the last match, walks back! This was a very good nut from Willey. Got the ball to move away after pitching within the stumps, Hafeez was camping back and pushed at it tentatively, the keeper calmly collected a feather behind. Pakistan rocked early in a chase yet again. Hafeez c Buttler b Willey 0(8)

2.1 - Willey to Babar Azam, out Lbw!! Lovely delivery to send the batsman back! This was curling in on a length, pitched and hurried onto the batsman who missed his flick and was rapped straight in front of the stumps. The umpire raised his finger in a flash, the ball pitched in line and was hitting middle, and an early sniff for the visitors. Babar Azam lbw b Willey 4(6)

41.0 - Moeen Ali to Sarfraz Ahmed, 1 run, fifty for Sarfraz with this shot! This was a well flighted delivery, Ahmed waits for it to arrive and meets it with a drive to sweeper cover

21.3 - Adil Rashid to Rizwan, no run, well, Rizwan would breathe a sigh of relief as he was close to getting out LBW. It was a googly fro Adil Rashid, Rizwan misread it. He hurriedly tried to bring his bat down, however missed it. Adil Rashid belted out a huge appeal for LBW. The original decision was not out. England went for the review and on review it was just clipping the leg-stump and it turned out to an umpire's call

13.3 - Adil Rashid to Shoaib Malik, no run, quicker delivery that was dragged down by the leggie, it went straight on, Malik missed the pull and was struck on his bent back leg, was struck on his knees but it was missing the leg stump according to HawkEye. DRS review reversed the umpire's decision and Malik survives
