James Anderson to miss the final Fifth Test

James Anderson will miss England's fifth and final Test match with India through injury, his captain Alastair Cook has confirmed.

England all-time record wicket-taker will not take part in the match in Chennai, which gets underway on Friday, because of 'body soreness' after the last Test in Mumbai.

Anderson missed the first Test of the series in Rajkot after having suffered a stress fracture in his right shoulder.

He joined the squad ahead of the second Test in Visakhapatnam and picked up four wickets in the game.

He went wicketless in the next two Tests in Mohali and Mumbai as England conceded the five-match series 3-0, with the last game still to play.
